I've got 3 cats, none will touch Whiskas wet food, but like the dry. they like Felix, so get that mainly, although have bought some Iams pouches as they are on offer in Pets At Home and they love these. but my ragdoll always prefers the dry to wet food anyway

Yes, our two are extremely fussy. They will only eat the Gourmet brand tins and pouches. We've tried them on everything else going, but they will not have it no matter how long we tried to keep them on it. We were throwing it away every day. So, although the Gourmet is more expensive than any other, in the longrun we are saving money because at least it all gets eaten.

I'm pretty sure it isn't good for cats to be on dry food only, although I'm only going on previous threads I've read on here...

Dry food is far & away Superior to wet food, which is nearly all water anyway.

Thats why supermarkets sell tinned foods & vets sell dried food;)

Dried food is great for their teeth too & comes in a huge variety of different blends to perfectly suit your cats age, breed, lifestyle & health requirements.

A complete dry diet can actually cause urination problems and kidney problems if I remember correctly.

That is true of cheap formulations & days of old,

But stuff like Royal Canin, Applaws, Onjin & Hills is far better than felix;)

In fact Royal Canine & some others do special blends for cats with Kidney & urinary problems.

    Aha! You are correct :D

I wouldn't feed Hills for love or money though, it's just full of fillers.

Can't fault Applaws though - except for the price :rotfl: £3.09 for a small 395g bag

To be honest I'm not a fan of Hills either, but its about the most well known of the premium brans, thats why I included it.

Complete dry food for a Carnivore? I sure wouldn't like to eat only biscuits all my life.

I feed mine Raw food which is a Carnivores natural diet. Their poo is firm and does not smell at all. No runny or soft smelly poos.

    Naturesdiet is also good.

If a cat if being fussy over what you feed it then take it away until the next day. I can guarantee that they will eat it then. An animal will not starve itself and will eat anything when hungry.
