My credit report has a few searches marked "unrecorded enquiry", does that count as a search against applying for Sygma?

No it doesn't. Were you looking at Experian? Sygma check Equifax.

Credit is not too bad mate, got £500 o/d and £3000 c/limit. To be honest my only aim was to get the business bank account from them, the regular personal accounts are pretty bog standard to be honest but the business deals are pretty damn good compared to natwest who im currently with. Manager also told me that the bank will be able to send faster payments from sep/oct and that online banking will be up and running next week!!

Their card has no cash withdrawal fees, same APR as purchases, and no default fees either? That's what it says in the summary box!

I'd love to test the waters but they don't allow on line or postal applications; which seems very short sighted!

Imagine how much more quickly their customer base would grow if they did. Seems a bit archaic in that approach IMHO :(

We'll be lucky to see one on Exeter high street in the next decade I'd imagine :p

But if their online banking is up & running next week then they might allow online application....

Ooooh that'd be cool! I'd like to support this new bank, I like the cut of their jib :)

EDIT: They said they'll allow online applications in a month or so. One ring straight through to a UK call centre operative with no annoying IVR. Awesome :o

Shame I can't apply for one... Although as they are in London, and I'm at uni near London, could I apply next time I go through London (to get back home)? I normally have stupidly long waits for my connections, so finding these branches would be interesting!

That would be good :) I was hoping that, I don't know if they will though, they want to provide a "different" service, tailored around branches by the sound of it....

I probably won't get accepted for it anyway, minimum credit limit is £500 :(

If you lose your card you have to go into branch for a new one? It's a good idea but long term it's really impractical
