On both agencies I now have 2 defaults, one to capquest, one to cabot. The Cabot one WAS entered twice on Equifax at 2 different addresses but raised an online dispute and finally got rid of one. Last time I applied to Barclaycard I had just opened Next account too so probably 'hindered' the application.
May give it another bash but online checker keeps saying 'soory, not eligible'
Online Staturatory Credit Reports now with all 3 agencys.
Might just cancel memberships and get 1 copy off each mid-month. only be £72 a year as opposed to like £180+0 -

A score decline means you don't qualify for the product. You don't fit the bill of what they would like to see from a customer (length of employment, income, homeowner/renter, time at address etc). We’ve had to remove your signature. Arghh they didn't call at all yesterday. So still don't know if vanquis have accepted me or not. No email or text either so not a definate no as yet.
Want to build my rating but not sure what I would goi for then as one of my previous defaults was with capital one (it was then passed on to a dca and I think it is due to drop off my report in the next year or so) not sure if they would ever lend to me again.

Thanks for that clarification.
I've been putting Notes of correction on my credit file.
How do I go about explaining that my moving of address on a regular basis is due to university?0 -

Do you know that you can be registered on the electoral roll at both your home address, and the university address? So if you always gave them your home address, at least for applications, they should see some stability.Enjoy the silence...0 -

Yes indeed this is the best way to go about it but also remember that all your accounts should be registered to your home address, too when doing thisCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I'd personally stay clear of Notices of Corrections. Last time I had one on my file, it caused a lender to decline immediately for their credit card. I was then only able to appeal after I had the notice removed from my file.
If you're declined credit, explain to them when you send in your appeal the situation surrounding your addresses. But from their perspective, it doesn't look good for you (as a student) having so many previous addresses, moving around a lot means you can quite easily flee your credit commitments. We’ve had to remove your signature. I don't have a home address; I'm 25 and have been living more than 200 miles from "home" for years now. So sadly I don't have that option.0
