Vanquis have changed their phone banking service for gold card holders.

Its quite useful to be able to get the balance limit and availible balance sent via txt.

Isnt the text service something thats going to available to all? I am sure when i spoke to vanquis to try and close my account last week ( i couldnt as i need to wait til my statement is generated or something like that) I was told that i would now be able to use a text service.. i dont think i'm a gold card holder....i have a limit of 2.5k but my card is blue lol :rotfl:I also thought that there was no difference in term of services etc just that you got charged more interest once you reached over 2k..although i may (probably am) wrong as I dont leave a balance on mine as i only use it as a work card so i can keep track of all my expenses

If you dont need nor use them then i can see little point in keeping them open, but thats just me! It would be another settled account if it shows on your file?
  • Do Natwest have their own version CPD marker? And how do you find out you have one?

got off the phone earlier after speeking with Alliance & Leicester.

For the last 3 years i have made numerous requests for an overdraft increase from my £300 limit to £500 with the usual response of F OFF. This is when i was earning in excess of £40k.

I phoned them today as my account was £1,300.00 overdrawn due to job loss and they upped my overdraft to £1,500.00 without blinkin an eye and im now unemployed.

What are these clowns playing at?

Not sure if they do actually have one, but I was told my Student Credit Card limit (was £350, the max available to students is £500) "would not be increased at any stage".... so I got rid of the card. Maybe I had a CPD type marker on my account? Can't see why, my credit file has got better and better since I took the card! They're useless anyway, cancelled my debit card for some unknown reason (one they only issued 2 weeks ago as part of this stupid VISA upgrade!)

I doubt you'll get a brand new one for a cheaper price than Apple sells it at.

    Try eBay.

    good evening

I spoke to my financial adviser today and he said as when i was 19yr old i had a mortgage for a few months i wont be classed as 1st time buyer. Also he said i would need 25% deposit but i have looked and there is other deals on at the moment. Am unsure

Just spoke to santander on the phone and they can offer me the following.

    House: £165K
    Amount Borrow : £148,500
    Deposit: £16500 - 10%
    Monthly Payment: £956
    3yr Fixed Rate 5.99%

Subject to credit rating + Proof of income which none of them will be a problem i hope.
