will definately stop until after summer now.

also, this may be weird, i dont know i havent come across anyone discussing it.

would it be OK to constantly move money between 2 acounts, Im talking like twice a day moving different amounts back and forth to make it seem as though there is more money being paid into the account?

becuase I've seen some accounts say you must play a certain amount (mine doesnt) but I'm just wondering if doing that would be of any use? or just pointless?

Banks don't like you trying to make out you have more money coming in than you really have - theres a thread somewhere someone done this and there account was blocked pending ID checks - it looks suspicious.

    Hello,

I am a new user and looking for some advice....please.

I have never had any credit nor a bank account before in my name. Everything went through my ex partner... now we have been seperated for 6 months.

It wasn't until I went to apply for a private rented property and a bank account that I realised how much this having no credit would affect me.

I have managed to obtain a current account with Lloyds TSB, and I have a Next account..both secured in the last 3 months..but I am struggling to pass the criteria for Shop Direct catalogue, overdraft or a CC (with my bank)....any ideas?

Even Capital one have declined my application....Thankyou

That's your problem - too many applications in too short a space of time and your accounts are too recent for you to have really built up an individual credit history yet. Stay patient, stay away from credit applications for at least 6 months, make sure you're on the Electoral Roll and remain dilligent in paying your catalogue accounts etc.

didnt even know this. thanks. im not trying to just magically get a better rating, I just wanna create regular transactions.

i signed up to all my credit reports, equifax i got access to straight away, but Experian (why the hell is it so expensive?) and CallCredit are sending out pins.

my question is, I'm doing the 30 day trail with all 3, do the 30 days start from the date i ordered it, or the first time i log in?

I would phone them, but when i had issues signing up I was on hold with Experian for like 20 minutes, and the 15 minutes of trial and error pressing any number to get an adviser

Probably the date you ordered it - that was the case with me, despite me requiring a postal PIN. I'd certainly go by that to be safe, any cancellation will be at the end of the 30 days anyway so cancel early to play it safe
