    Hi guys

Havnt posted for quite some time but wanted to update you.
After 2 yrs of sub prime & battling with
    Cap1-£300 limit
    MBNA-£500 limit
    Flybe-3K

Just got accepepted for Halifax all in one card 15.9%
    http://www.halifax.co.uk/creditcards/allinone_ros.asp

    2 defaults 2005
1 CCJ satisfied 2006 comes 0ff file in April

Declined post office CC, Barclaycard and Tesco

    Hope this helps

Why is it or is just me that everyone who has had trouble handling credit cards before and defaulted, then apply for as many cards as they can when their credit file start cleaning it self up.

Well less than 6 months after getting a Vanquis Card i applied for a HSBC CC from my bank and got instantly accepted :-)

It was complete shock. I have cleared a 2k overdraft and a £800 Post Office Credit Card Debt in that period and spent and instantly paid off on the Vanquis (who ironically increased my limit by 100% after 2 months!), but i have 3 defaults on my credit files all within 1.5 years from faulty CCA's :-(

I'll be writing to Vanquis this week to close the account, there £1 fees where getting annoying anyhow!

    Hi
recently, last weekend at the same time i applied to Halifax..after a few glassess of wine i admit!!
My point was to highlight the differing lending criteria
I considered myself to still be sub prime and i am to certain cc companies.
Still it seems that others are willing to be a little more flexible. Depends which way the wind is blowing.
    Hope this helps

Yeah see your point but what about if you fall on hard times again you will still have 4 credit cards to pay off.

No i didnt but i have the option of doing this once i ahve the card
My job role seemed to make a difference between the apps

I am a social worker(please dont throw things) and when i put this as my emplyment i got rejected

Maybe due to local authority workers jobs being insecure at the mo.
