My whole family have virtually disowned me because of my depression. They don't see it as an illness. They think it's me being stroppy. Nice, huh? What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160

Slayerx - I feel for you on this one. I used to be really sociable, but in recent years I just feel useless and embarassing and that people just can't be ar*ed with me. I don't know how to shake this off. This is the only place I can come and feel normal and accepted. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

It is horrid when people don't understand, particularly those that are closest to us. It is the hardest thing to try and explain to someone who hasn't experienced it tho.
I remember when I was bad I would cry over things like the fact that my cushions had some condensation on them. OH couldn't understand it and nearly walked out a couple of times. I find myself hiding a lot of it from him now, which is easier than it sounds as he works shifts. Can do a lot of my crying when he is not about.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -

Are you my twin? I've had both of these and neither have really worked. I've been waiting for a psychotherapist for 18 months now. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
