I use calms when i know i'm going to be expossed to things that will trigger anxiety. not sure if they really work - i think thier effect is psychological to be honest. but i'll try anything.

I was on prozac but ended up coming off them as I was afraid I was going to become dependant on them.

The problem is I get it in silly places like say the bus journey to work that kind of senario.

That's why I came off my tranquiliser, cos I was worried I would get addicted, but if I am a miserable mess without them I would rather be addicted!!

I have tried Kalms, Rescue Remedy and St John's Wort, but none worked for me. Great if they do have an affect for you, I wish they would work for me.

  • There are a lot of us about. I came off my meds a few couple of months ago and I'm back on them now. I don't seem to be able to function very well without them.

I did talk to my doctor first, he agreed that I could try coming off but said to go back to him if I was not coping. I should have gone back to him a couple of weeks ago, but I am stubborn and didn't want to admit it wasn't working! Am going to see him next week tho.

It is so wierd, people don't talk about illnesses like depression, but when you do mention them it is amazing how many people have suffered with it to some degree.

I always feel people are going to judge me if I tell them that I suffer from this.
