    I've been looking at doing courses aswell but not through OU, but ILA(?)

    If you earn under £22kp.a they fund it for you :D
    ILA can be used for OU courses...

    This sounds very interesting. Can anyone expand on that for me, please?

    We have an education centre at work which is running a course I'd like to do. It's a study at home course and you get 3 years to work through 8 modules. I can go in for assessment when I think I'm ready.

    It's the easiest option for me :o

    Get someone else to buy it...........remember your debt will be gone if you stop frittering!

    Hope it was good though.

    Well done on your saving for gas & electric. Like you, I have never bothered to move suppliers as I can't be bothered with the hassle and I am on a not so good tarriff I thought with Scottish Gas - fixed til 2011. However, when I went through Quidco tonight to do my car insurance renewal (went with RAC and I better get the promised £80 cashback!), I saw the £150 for gas & electric. I pay £50 per month for gas & £50 for electric but all it was going to save me is £135 per year so I didn't bother changing over. Hope you get your cashback though.

    PAD/Spends = £145
    Groceries = £116.80
    Purse = £12.81
    Outstanding loan = £1142.58 :D Looks like my loan payment arrived!

    Having had the worst night's sleep I have had in a long time, I have nothing witty or interesting to add. Good news though - the Quidco has tracked for my energy switch :j

    A quick question for you internet people - where is a good place to get cheap but decent shoes?

    I love this pair of shoes from Schuh but am not going to pay £90 for them. This M&S pair are a good alternative but I'd like something for around £40 and frankly have no clue where to look as I only buy new shoes for work and they normally cost £10 from New Look!

    I've seen them in a lot of shops - the only thing with cheaper ones is the heal and toes go so fast.

    Have arrived at work all full of smuggery that I had made my own lunch for once (Pasta goodness, banana and some raisins) only to find that the cleaner has thrown out my water bottle so I may end up buying water at lunchtime, ruining my potential NSD :mad:

    Going to look for restaurant vouchers to use when we're away next week too - try and keep the costs down!
