Glad to hear that it's beginning to thaw a bit up there - although the ice doesn't sound like much fun. First day in ages today that I have actually not been feeling really cold when I went out so hopefully some of that will make its way to you soner rather than later!

    Hmmm....only half a success then!

I did go to the local [strike]hell-planet[/strike] shopping centre after work and found a perfect dress for London. I wasn't as keen on the one from Dorothy Perkins when I tried it on so bought one from one of the New Look concessions which is much nicer.

Must dash - sorry for the tiny update, but tomorrow I have to go to work, finish as early as I can while still doing the hours I promised, get the bus to town, meet Palema at the pictures, watch Muppet Christmas Carol, meet another friend for coffee and then go home!

*sigh* I thought holidays were meant to be relaxing :D

    Evening folks,

Very quick update post as I really have a lot to do before bed *eek*

I have done a total of 11.5 hours of overtime this week (Never again to Sunday Working though, even for double time!) As it's all been at double time, I'll be getting 23 hours extra this month - at £11ish per hour, that's pretty nice. Hopefully I'll be able to work a bank holiday or two as well :D

After work I went to the local Picture Hoose to see Muppet Christmas Carol with Palema and her dad, which was fab. There were loads of kids obviously, but a lot of big kids too :D

I then met a friend for a little night out at a vintage-themed mixer. It was good fun although I wasn't dressed in vintage style as I hadn't realised it was meant to be a dress-up affair! Still, it was fun and I met some nice people. I also managed to buy myself a new necklace and bag, but hey-ho these things are sometimes required.

My brother also texted me to tell me that he's bought me this for my birthday from my wishlist :j:j

Now, bed for me. I'm off to London in the morning and will just pack then. I'm too tired (and a little tipsy!) to pack correctly.

    Night all!
