Love the top Angelic. You go wow them girl!

Was talking to colleague today who has been in Edinburgh for the weekend, came home yesterday and decided to go for an earlier train, and just as well they did as a few later trains cancelled, and the one that did run was too late for a connection at Crewe. It must be absolute mayhem there.

We're going by train on Monday morning, so currently thinking warm thaw-based thoughts.....

Well today has improved drastically. A friend from Fife (over the Road Bridge from Edinburgh for you non-locals) decided to stay on my couch rather than risk the train-based chaos of the last week. We trekked from work to the shopping centre nearby after work where she bought cake (Woo!) and two bottles of Bucks Fizz (Double Woo!) from M&S for me. I only had to buy cream and custard to top the cake.

We've had a nice dinner, watched Mr Fresian murder the icicles which are hanging from the room - hilarious pictures on FB for those who know me on there - and drunk a reasonable amount of said fizzy-yum. Hurrah! I also have company for the hell-journey to work tomorrow so am in an altogether better frame of mind than I was yesterday.

I've been able to add another 82p into my Sealed Pot. Ideally, I'm going to add £1 a day cash into that on top of my electronic PADding so that when I open the tin next December I'll have a few hundred pounds to put towards something lovely.

In other DFW news (except now I'm DF I'm not sure what to call money-news, and money-news sounds dull....) I've been offered overtime at work at double time :j I finish on Thursday for holidays until Christmas, but am going to do 5 hours on Saturday anyway as the money is too good to turn down. Work isn't a chore if you can tell yourself "I'm getting £20 an hour for this nonsense" :D I've also confirmed that I'm going to work three bank holidays, also for double time, so January's pay packet should be looking quite nice, meaning that if I do go a little wahoo in the sales I know I'm going to have the wherewithall to repay it. W00t to being in control!

    Nighty night all.

PS....Angelic....I really like that top. If our local Matalan wasn't at the top of the Hill Of Ice Evil then I would be planning a weekend trip!
