Have pm'ed you ladies.
TV fame has been postponed to Monday, which is good as I got to have a few guilt free drinks at the Xmas party tonight! £7 spent. Have to get up at 4am on Monday though !
Good news on the light - the price dropped the day after I bought it by £10. I emailed Amaz0n to complain, with little hope of anything - and they have just refunded the tenner to me :j! So now the light has only cost me £23 after the voucher. Will try and collect tomorrow morning from PO as they tried to deliver it yesterday. Am hoping weather will be good enough to drive to see family and friends in Wales. However forecast terrible, may have to cancel

Hello museumworker & friends,
have just caught up on the last few pages of events - serves me right for not popping in more often.
I will have to live round the corrner from you all, in the same street as twinklie I think as I assume my lack of stewing or casseroling means I'm barred :rotfl:
Good luck for monday

Good news on getting the light money redunded, hope the light works out for you.
Oh, Wales visit! I am in Wales, snow not too bad where I am though.
Lots of luck in your television interview - would love to see it.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
On the topic of lights. I have a relative with a big lightbox which helps their SAD.
In our house we swear by a glow clock (simulates daylight to wake you). It definitely helps wake us up better and I feel that the bright light helps us cope with winter darkness better, so I recommend them.
I know you've got the lamp anyway, but I thought I'd chip in as I am a total believer in the lights.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Hello all - I not only made it to Wales but made it back too :rotfl:! Was extremely hairy yesterday morning round about Reading :eek: - we almost turned back. But a few junctions on and it was well gritted, so we not only made it but in good time :j. It was also extremely beautiful.. However, the roads in town itself were treacherous and my friends were snowed in
.
Silver lining though - my mum was meant to be taking friend to concert and she was also unable to come into town because of the weather. Mum took DD instead, to see Only Men Allowed - DD loved it and now wants to join a choir. Glad they had a great time, and an unexpected treat for DD.
Finished off last few presents, and the Xmas scarf I was knitting, got some food for family buffet last night too. Was lovely to see family before Xmas, had family quiz and general laughter.
Home now and need to gen up for tomorrow. Just spent 1/2 hour in park playing snow fights with DD. Scaffolding is down :T:T, and I have sold 2 books on Amazon for £49 after fees :j. Have to pay postage, but still looking at over £40 profit!
Lula-Hula - we haven't as far as I am aware erected a stew barrier to our street, but that is something to consider :rotfl:.
katsu - thanks for the comment on the glow lamp. I assume the one I've gone for is similar? It is currently sitting in the Post Office, begging me to come and collect. Hopefully can do that on Tuesday, when I go back to being just a nobody!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
