Hi MW - these sound lovely... 18 meals for the freezer? mmm... I'm tempted to ask you to post the recipes... wonder if they could be adapted for Slimming World?!!
QB0 -
Im tempted by the recipies too mw they sound delicious!!!
I dont think theres anything wrong with filling up the freezer if your gonna cook it anyway - as long as you use it all , my theory is its the same amount of money in the end!
enjoy your fun weekend with DD !0 -
Thanks, I will post them as I make them next week so I can tell you what I think of the finished product! Sure some could be adapted for SW, Queen Bee, they don't really have much additional fat in them.
My freezer is already groaning a bit, hence the reluctance. But these all sound so much nicer than freezer surprise! Think I will leave the lamb curry, that'll mean my shopping will come in at £43 with no extras and my freezer will be able to close!
Went at lunchtime to get a tefal brownie tray from John Lewis. Paid for it by phone yesterday so just had to collect. £12 and I'm sending off for a year's supply of Betty Crocker brownie mixes! See https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2858868 for more info. Am going to package the tin and mixes up as a 'faker's baking' set for Xmas for my sister who doesn't bake. Will add some vintage aprons I already have, wooden spoon, and maybe a vintage mixing bowl if I can find one. Another present sorted.

I am writing this in the hope it will make me do it. I really really need to put away all of the clean laundry in my room. There is 3 ikea bags full of it. Tonight I will get it done (or you can all do the finger waggling smiley at me!).
Did do something a little naughty today. Decided to use some of my £25 voucher from work on book for myself. Am feeling overun with clutter, and the reviews of this look great: http://www.amazon.co.uk/No-More-Clutter-Sue-Kay/dp/0340836776/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290107278&sr=8-1 . However, I did check library first (all out on loan, and would have to pay to reserve), and not on read it swap it, and only £5 of money given to me... so why do I still feel bad about it? Amazon are doing free next day delivery trial, so signed up for that. Did it 2 years ago at Xmas for free then - makes a massive difference knowing things will be there straight away, especially this time of year with all the delays. So, am I a MFW failure - and should I look at spending the rest of the voucher now?Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Thank you for all your links MW. Have to say the book would be a fab read for me (if only i could bring myself to log off laptop and read a book instead!) so will look forward to your recommendation. Don't feel bad about spending the money. Certainly now a MFW failure, look at how well you saved for your loft work! With that expense out of the way you will soon be posting updates of overpayments i will be very envious of!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Thanks CathT - I hope you meant not rather than nowotherwise I really AM a failure!
Must have felt some finger waggling, as managed to sort out and put away those three big bags of clean laundry. I got a bit carried away and went through my entire wardrobe and picked out things that I haven't worn for a year, or that I feel rubbish when I wear. Am going to get a friend's second opinion, and then give them to charity :T, there are probably about 20 items and I can fit everything in my wardrobe much better. Am very tired now though as didn't get to bed till around midnight, which is late for me. TFI Friday though!
BTW - Transport for London - if you read my post about wishing the tube was late - I WAS JOKING!!!! 45 minutes late for work today because of the pigging tube . Will get statement tomorrow, and then apply for another refund. I was also delayed yesterday, but possibly only by 10 minutes which doesn't count, the statement will clarify this for me.
Have friend coming over tonight :j, a bit of adult company in the evening much needed. Have sausages out from the freezer, so bangers and mash to look forward to.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

I have bought a couple of books on amazon (ironically a couple of the moneysaving expert ones!) as sometimes I want a book I can look back through when I need to ...
