Thanks for all the good wishes guys, I really am still on a high from my best win ever! I am hoping to go into the head office a week today to try things on, the range I can pick from is Alice by Temperley so if anyone has time to kill, or wants to shop vicariously and guilt free :rotfl:, feel free to recommend your favourite items for me!

The clothes are beautiful and I have told OH that nothing will be sold on ebay!!

Babysteps - I hate to say it but it was pure luck that won them - I do try and enter at least 10 competitions a day, having gone through fits and starts over the years. I know this is not a huge amount compared to some compers, but this is the most I can fit in with my lifestyle. For about a month I did manage to do this, but stopped recently as was peeved hadn't won anything - anyway, am going back to it from today :j

Holiday was f.a.b. - beaches, mountains, forest, hills, not too touristy, weather was good most days - went for walks, got in the sea , did museums, historic towns and steam railways, just perfect. :D:D:D Did have some behavioural problems with DD, but think they have been sorted for now. Twinklie - sorry to hear you hate where you are now, but how exciting that you have somewhere you love in Wales to move to when the time is right.

Six days in Manchester with just me and DD were also great, stayed at my sister's, and spent time with her, nephew, and a dear friend who moved up there and doesn't come to London much. Dear friend now pregnant :j, we went over to her house one day, and then had tea and cake in town another. Took DD swimming, to the John Ryland library which is just beautiful, Imperial War Museum North which is outstanding, and to see Toy Story 3 on an orange wednesday. She had a great time, especially [STRIKE]terrorising [/STRIKE] playing with sister's cats. :T:D However, I do seem to have burnt through cash this month :o, so need to be very careful the next few days as I don't want to have to take out of savings.

Am back in London now, travelled back yesterday feeling like I had a terrible head cold :(. Don't feel as bad today, although have not got out of bed yet! Am due to meet some friends at the Natural history museum this evening for a late look around their The Deep exhibition with DD. Do really want to go, so planning to laze around until after lunch in an attempt to conserve energy. DD still fast asleep.

    Today/Tomorrow:
    • Have a RISI book to post
    • a parcel to collect from sorting office
    • [STRIKE]contact builders to see where latest schedule of payments is[/STRIKE] done!
    • [STRIKE]10 comps to enter![/STRIKE] done 18
    • [STRIKE]get back to 100 day challenge and chuck out at least 10 things[/STRIKE] done 64
    • [STRIKE]try and tackle DD's bedroom which is full to overflowing[/STRIKE] done half, more tomorrow
    • take echinicea to try and ward off coldy thing
    • LSD - see if can dig out free tix to NHM/museum pass. Only have £10 left in personal account, not paid until Tuesday

Have contacted builders and entered 10+ comps. Am fly-lady training dd, we have 30 of her books in a bag ready to go to charity after 2 x 15 mins of going through book shelves, and about another 25 for passing on to friends/ 'my unborn brother or sister' i'm not even pregnant! Will count the 30 for my challenge, and the rest when they leave the house.

Have also confirmed free tix for exhibition today :j

sounds like a great break :D A tenner til Tuesday is doable too, worry not.

I love Alice Temperly - although didn't she used to be more beaded and floaty dressy? I suppose fashions move on :rotfl:Out of that lot I LOVE the Claudia skirt and the military style jackets too. Not sure about the leggings, sure you can get them like that in Primark for a fiver!;)

I think you're right courgette, she did used to be more beady. Which of the claudia skirts were you thinking, my favourite is the one with the loud (violet) print which I reckon I will wear LOADS! I'm liking most the cropped leather jacket... I know exactly what you mean about the leggings - I'd expect them to be made of actual bronze for £120 !!! and I really won't get them, even with free money it seems wrong! Hope you're not too uncomfortable at the minute?

looked online at property in north wales and realised couldn't afford it :(

Decluttering DDs room continues. Just tackled wardrobe - 3 x 15 mins needed  but 20 items of clothing given to charity, 12 recycled, some kept for crafting projects, 2 more books gone, and about 8 dressing up items to pass onto niece (will count those when they go). So 64 things towards my challenge today :D , will tackle toy shelves tomorrow.

Right, time to shower, have lunch, and visit charity shop... have full trolley load of stuff now!

Crikey, £1500 doesn't go very far does it . I'd go for the leather coat as it won't date & looks lush :). Most of the other things wouldn't suit or fit me :(
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Yes, I was thinking the violet print one too. Seems quite classic too so it'd last a few years. Have you had a look in Monsoon too? They often have gorgeous stuff that doesn't date too quickly.

Hmmm, obviously an exercise in how many times I can write 'too' in one paragraph :rotfl:

gallygirl - I know, they only go up to a size 14 so last year I would have been asking for 27 scarves :rotfl:!

courgette - congratulations on a very successful exercise! The prize is specifically for £1,500 of clothes from Alice by Temperley, so can't look elsewhere. I do love Monsoon too, used to get a very fabulous discount there, now I can only buy it from charity shops if I am to stay within my clothes budget! Did manage to bag two monsoon evening dresses though a few weeks ago from a clothes swap I went to :D

Taken stuff to charity, unfortunately didn't leave empty handed though :o - got a terramundi pot with labels still on £1, a box set of diy (craft) cards £1, a crochet kit for dd 30p, a Lindy Woodhead book on Selfridges I put on my amazon wishlist earlier in the year for £1 (Hardback), a pashmina and silk scarf 50p and a radley coin purse with label still attached £3. the pot and the coin purse are for xmas gifts, so will save money in the long run. Found £50 in the mortgage hedgehog, so will use the rest (£42) for food shop this weekend. Anything to stop us raiding our savings!!

Right, time to head into town. Have a good evening everyone.

thanks tyo, I am very looking forward to picking my clothes too :j

Had a good evening last night, met with old friend, her mum and sis for a look around the cocoon and the Deep Sea at the NHM. Got four free tickets, and friend's mum bought a child one for DD, so cost nowt! A nice time of day to go, had harp players and knitters (?) all around, lots of people who look like they're dating! Friend bought me a coffee after, I just bought a salad and a croissant for DD, so total spent about £6 from last £10 in personal account. Can't wait for payday on Tuesday!!

DD is absolutely exhausted today though, and back to her old bad behaviour - complaining, whining, shouting - all within 5 minutes of being up :( I made a mistake taking her, should not have gone - I just wanted her to have a special 'grown up' time with my friends who adore her. OH seems equally grumpy, we have had a row and he says I'm acting like a victim as I said I can't deal with this today :(. Am feeling v tired, think the virus and the poor amount of sleep I've had are catching up on me. He has gone to allotment to get food, is posting my RISI book, and then will do supermarket shop. We have meal planned a total veggie week, in an attempt to be healthier and save some money. Budget is the £40 in the hedgehog.

    Right, for me today:
    • [STRIKE]declutter DD's toy shelves, and rest of room[/STRIKE] rest of room to do tomorrow
    • [STRIKE]washloads x 2-3 (sun is shining)[/STRIKE] did 2
    • house blessings oops
    • unpack case from holiday double oops
    • shred  not done for 2 weeks triple oops
    • take dd to park for a bit need i say it?
    • [STRIKE]tackle 1 x box of my tut [/STRIKE] done, 40 bits got rid of
    • [STRIKE]10+ comps[/STRIKE] done
    • [STRIKE]friend's house for dinner this evening[/STRIKE] much fun had by all ;)
