Stayed a bit later at work to make up for late start, and slightly long lunch :o, had good catch up and a much needed veg lasagne and salad for £4.90. Am being really bad at eating out this week, am doing much more than usual, I suppose it is because am out of routine and OH is away. Need to find some cheap suggestions for lunch tomorrow as don't have a packed one and don't want to spend much more than £1 on one to make up for last few days!

Since I've been home I have done The Shred (almost killed me after three week break :o), had dinner from the freezer (HM dahl, mmm), done a few surveys, put Amazon and RISI on holiday settings (otherwise I'll forget tomorrow evening) and there is a washload in the machine.

Haven't done any decluttering though :o, and as mistresses is due to start soon I think it is out the window. Maybe I could get up on time and find 10 things to fling before work?

Managed to email the builders, OH won't leave me now :j. They are due back tomorrow :D.

Had a bit of a full throttle day!!

Work: finished off talk, involved getting things out of storage, photographing them, editing photographs, finishing off powerpoint - all with about 2 hours in the office! Then had to rush across London, eating £2.50 sandwich on a bus, ready for committee meeting this afternoon, 3 hours long :( but useful, although I keep thinking I'm making a prat of myself on it :o! Rushed home, posting one RISI book, (have 2 more need to look addresses up!), caught in rain , packed my daughters clothes, and my clothes for nearly 2 weeks out of London :j:j! We're off camping for a week in North Wales at 5 am tomorrow morning , so need to be ready to go. Sure I've forgotten lots of stuff! Am going via Manchester on way back for 6 days, so need city break clothes as well as standard camping fare - my bag is bulging!

Really looking forward to getting away, hoping it doesn't rain too much, but even if it does we're going to get out and explore. Have NT membership, so places to go for free :D. Haven't done an enormous amount of research, but hey ho - we'll explore anyway. Budget is £40 or less a day for all three of us for food and entertainment, hope we'll do less.

tyo - if you're reading this I won't get a chance to post on your diary due to manic holiday preparations, but please do know that I am thinking of you and wish you and OH all the best at this difficult time.

Right - time to collapse before early start me thinks!

Thanks twinklie - I really enjoyed camping in wales, and now want to buy a place there!

I won't write too much as am at sister's house, she is cooking a roast chicken which should be ready v v soon, don't want to be antisocial! Will update about the holiday next time I post, but wanted to share some very exciting news... have apparently won £1,500 worth of clothes!!! :D :j: am so excited I cannot believe it!!! Will let you know more when I have confirmed it is all real, and not some elaborate hoax.

My sister thinks it is some kind of divine retribution for sticking to a £100 dress budget for a whole year, as of this month. As MemoryGirl says, the universe will provide!!

OH was suggesting I sell some of the items - no chance! This is a once in the lifetime opportunity to get spoilt rotten, I am going to enjoy every minute of it!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
