£607.01 OP made today - standard OP and rent from housemate.
Am an an extreme emotional low today, and last night. It has been bubbling under all day, am trying not to ruminate and ignoring the angry tears pricking my eyes. I think it is backlash from such a busy week, and feeling so good. I will share more if I feel I can, but don't feel able to at the minute. I had a swim with DD, and that was nice, but now am home feel !!!!! again.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Can't think of anything non-trivial to say, look after yourself. BRILLIANT overpayment as always.0

Well done on the OP mw
Sorry youre feeling low, hope you have a relaxing day today and some tlc for yourself0 -
Thanks guys. Burst into tears last night when OH came in and it all came spilling out, he was VERY supportive and said and did exactly the right things to make me feel better. [listened, comforted me, cooked me dinner, and made me a herbal tea followed by cocktail if anyone needs any tips!]
A much better day today, had G&T family event with DD which was very informative and she really enjoyed.
Bought myself a fleecy onesie from primarni today as a cuddly treat, I am now BOILING in it, feels like wearing a teddy costume - if that doesn't cheer me up nothing else will :rotfl:! Part of my preparations for winter.
Did some accounting with OH this evening, have put in next month's mortgage payments into account ready, so made our OP early - another £207.01 :j!
Time for herbal tea, more the killing, and a slice of treacle tart after...Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Exactly ultrarunner, and it is EXTREMELY important that I understand what my neighbours are saying about me in the pub when I am in my retirement cottagemitfordsisters wrote: »Hi museumworker, I would love to go to Greenman again - tho my DH is more into classical music, but might go with a friend or sibling next time. I would have liked to see Midlake - did you see them?
Our mortgage is £202,500 paying 6.3%; £1444 per month, currently overpaying £56 per month. It seems massive! I will chip away at it with bonuses etc. But love all the tips for making a bit of extra cash to throw at it. When we get out of our fixed deal, we should be able to overpay a lot.
Albums I prescribe for you: Dimanche a Bamako by Amadou and Mariam - I wore out my first copy - joyous really... or Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
Didn't see midlake - they weren't playing this year (I hope, otherwise I missed probably the highlight of the festival :rotfl:!).
Ouch - that mortgage does sound huge. But we were at £1200 pm monthly repayment until we did the loft and remortgaged with a better LTV (and a better interest rate to boot!). We've kept our payment the same, hence the monthly £207.01 standard OP. That way if mortgage rates rise when we come to remortgage we'll be used to it. So keep to £1500 even when you remortgage too! It might be worth having a LTV target in mind, and working out what you need to OP/save to get that?
Not heard of the first band, must look them up. I think we may have saturday night fever on the i-pod. Am going to go for the pj harvey album though. Used to LOVE her when younger, not kept up with her more recent stuff.
There is one in the town and a few in the surrounding villages, difficult to get into though. DH went to a Welsh school until he was 14 then switched and found it difficult. The Welsh secondary is a fab school so it would be nice to get children into that. Otherwise somehow send them over the border and pay for private school!
Unfortunately I need more than a refresher, I should probably make the effort and attend classes! From what I remember from Welsh classes when I switched back to a school in Wales aged 13 we just watched Fireman Sam!
Hope you manage to get them into a welsh primary, it will be worth it even if you have to move DD a year or so in. Sam Sam Tan :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - that is still above my language wise but I hope after a year of study I will be able to understand it!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Feeling a bit more on top of things now. Woke up stupidly early (6 ish?), had dream somebody tried to steal my handbag in a museum and I rugby tackled them to the floor and was calling for the staff to get the police. Then I woke up heart pumping :rotfl:! Have been having really vivid dreams last few nights, am coming off migraine medication ready for next one so not sure if that's the reason. But that is why I am up so early for me on a sunday.
