If they substitute an item for something not in the deal, you will have to pay full price for everything.
This happened to me and I gave everything back and got a refund.
really???
That seems a little unfair. Can you really refuse everything? Can you find out there and then what the total price would be? My local always seems to substitute something which is a bit of a downer for me then :-(0 -
I've tried this several times now but it doesn't seem to be working online. Anyone else have a problem?Envy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0

I didnt even think of the substitute thing, surely though they should sub it with something else on the meal deal so should still work out the same, saying that i dont want any diff wine hhmm, have clicked no substitutes and the store is a pretty big one so hopefully be ok, if not have ordered a few other bits so will just take those and leave the meal deals.0

Driver who delivered said no substitutes, but did not have paperwork on him, signed away, checked bank, £120.00 gone. Been on phone to tesco for ages, not budging or collecting! I give up,. but my goodness I am I going to get even with glitches in the future. Can't focus on the £120 or I'll flip, so going for the aproach of knowing I'll get every tesco glitch in the future from them. It was only way really as the manager was looking at the order closely and it would have potentially not only busted this 2 x mains glitch, but future ones too! Also had it running through my mind that they may ban my address etc!
If a driver in your area turns up without the invoice, just send back for goodness sake, don't take their word for it!0 -
When I've ordered special offer wine previously, they've substituted £9.99 bottles (which worked out at about £3.50 or so each on offer) for £3.99 bottles and I've ended up being charged more. I never quite know what I'm going to get in my Tesco delivery.
I once ordered some cider that was in packs of 8 for about £3. They sent me 8 separate bottles - but packaged in boxes of 8, and I ended up with a bill for about 6 times the price!0 -

Yes refuse any subsituted meal deal items or if any incomplete.
I'd not worry even about the 25% wine as meal deal still brilliant.
According to tesco cs the picker does not substitute with a meal deal item. Ie: veg pizza = chicken pizza, veg lasagne = beef lasagne. Wallies!0 -
I would have thought that if they substituted the same(lowest) price would apply? Is it wisest to or no to request substitutes with your delivery?0
