Had a horrible shift in work last night, too many taxi requests, not enough taxis! Oh well, over till next weekend, should be quiet tonight.
I did manage to steal a collegues spare rib bones from her curry, so doggie had a treat when I got in. I also 'borrowed' some dockets as they are very handy for a notepad & printed off some MSE cheap receipes as work, saving me ink and paper costs!
(Saw the Sat night party was still going on at 2am, but too busy to join in.)
I had a 5p bet with a lad in work, and lost. I was thinking about not including it in my spending as it would have broken my 3 day NSD straight. But I felt too guilty not too! I told him about my dilemma and he gave it back!
Have gotten hold of my friend that owes me money, she is waiting for the landlord to pay her deposit back mid-week so will pay it into my bank then. (Hopefully)

No, AXA account now closed, Abbey took away my overdraft (wasn't using it as I should or something) so I had to find £400 quickly. I cashed it in and got just over £500 so the rest went on my credit card.
So thats £20 a month I'm now not paying out too.:D
I am going to post a new SOA when I pay off Bank of Scotland in August. I can't wait to pay it! Roll on end of July!!!

My car insurance is actually about £450, the other £150 I put towards the tax, or MOT etc. I pay the whole insurance off in one go as it's cheaper than paying monthly.
My insurance isn't due til October so will get some quotes closer to the date, hopefully after my bump a couple of years ago (drove into a parked bus, duh!), I should have 1 years no claims and it should drop a little.

x_raphael_xx, I see that you have (or had) a credit card with a 17.9% rate. What is the available credit from that and all other sources? It's quite possible that it's better to use your credit card for purchases to pay off HFC Loan 1 first.
I see that you used to owe your mum 700. If she's willing, add what she'll lend you then repay her using the HFC 1 repayment money plus what you're currently saving for debt repayment each month. Well worth asking HFC for an early settlement figure to see if it's doable within six months or so.
If you let me know the available credit, how much the monthly payments are on the current debts and how much extra you're paying/saving I'll work out what's the option that saves you the most money.
If you also have savings intended for paying the car insurance in a lump sum it's likely that it's best to pay monthly so that you could use the lump sum money for the HFC 1 repayment if that's the only way to do it. The insurance part will cost more but the savings on HFC 1 will probably save you more than the extra cost.0 -
Hmmm... I see that you can get other loans but at rates over 30%. If it's the only way to repay HFC loan 1, what you can do is get a 1 year loan for the amount you need for HFC 1, save your repayment money from HFC 1 and then do an early settlement of the new loan as well. Bit cheeky but it'd do the job and paying 30-40% on 500 or 1,000 for a few months to clear the HFC 1 earlier would save you money overall.0
