Well hello, I've been away for a while but back now.
I've started slipping back into my old ways and feel I need another jolt of MS help.
I've been slowly chipping away at my debts, but nothing major, mainly just paying the mimimum payment.
I really need to get rid of this big black cloud over my head, I want to start on my overdraft as it's the one that keeps playing on my mind all the time. I also have my MOT coming up at the end of May, and I'm hoping that it wont be too much (as I've just had to pay for new brake cables, they snapped outside Asda!).
I've decided to give myself a budget of £50 for food for the rest of this month. And also NO unnessesary spending. Lets see how I do, any help or ideas would be welcome.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

If you only use your car to see your family, why not owrk out if it's cheaper to get the train, or coach? National express used to do a £19.50 return ticket to london from Manchester. Took a bit longer, but you can use the time to read a book, or what have you.
Have you ebayed everything not nailed down? How about having another look around for 0% cards, credit rating might have improved a little. Or just phone the banks and see what they can do about your loan interest rates? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

My car is a very good little runner, I can drive to my Dads 200 miles away for just £20/£25. I've been on the train before, I think its about £60ish return.Have you ebayed everything not nailed down? I have a little bit I could stick on eBay, my problem is getting the motivation. But once I get the kick up the !!! I'll get on it.
I've recently tried for a consolidation loan, but I was offered a stupid interest of 33%, which wouldnt have improved my situation in any way.
Took a trip to Bingo today, unfortunatly didn't win. I had a money off voucher for £5, and I thought the tickets would come to £5, but by the time they added on the 'extras' it came to £7.50. My first spend in 6 days and it's only £2.50 so I'm pleased with myself.
Also I almost cried in work today, (I very rarely cry, especially infront of people) my colleague gave me £2 to buy myself a pasty  , and she's going to rummage in her cupboards for spare food for me. I was almost overwelmed by her kind-heartedness. It feels good to know people care.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Really p***ed off, I've been told that due to new European law I am only allowed to work 40 hours a week.
I LOVE my job, and love my overtime, I also prefer working and earning money than being sat at home slobbing infront of TV.
I can manage my bills etc on my basic wage, but the extra £80 a week is very nice, especially as I'm trying to overpay my debts.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

I'm sorry to say this but your not going to be able to pay anything off if you're paying out more than you earn!! What are you living off i'm presuming your cc. Could you possibly ask your mum again for another non interest loan?0 -
No, dont ask for another loan. Cancel your Telewest and save the money for a couple of months to buy a set top box.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Hi all,
Cocalls: My Council tax and Water rates are already spread over 12 months.
Just got my mobile reduced to £20 a month.
At the moment Im living off extra shifts, which is why Im so annoyed that they are cutting my shifts down.
Im searching around for a 2nd job at the moment, just a few hours extra to top up my money. So wish me luck!Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!
