Hi, I don't know much (or anything really) but OH works loads of hours and he has signed a Working Time Directive thing to allow him to do it - I think it basically covers the employer for something but no idea what.

Might be worth you looking into if it allows you to get that extra shift or two?

Yeah, I have begged my employer to let me sign a waver, but he won't let me, also even though the DTI has capped it at 48 hours, my work are saying no more than 40. I think they are doing it purely so they can pay less National Insurance.

Someone at work might put a good word in for me with his friend to get me a part time job. My only problem is that I'm on a set rolling rota, so I can't work, say, a set 9-5 on a Saturday. I shall keep my fingers (and toes) crossed and let you all know.

Hello all, I've been away for a while (again) but now I'm back (again).

Good news on the work front, I've been told that as I'm a supervisor I'm allowed to work more than 40 hours if I wish. And they've offered me a job training the staff in Customer service, so of course I'm gunna ask them for a raise!!

I've paid off my Abbey overdraft and my total has dropped below £6000!! Getting there slowly but surely!

    Hi all,
Was hungry when I got home from work so stupidly paid £14.99 for pizza delivery. So thats my budget and my diet out the window! Oh well.

Im so overweight, Im over 17 stone and want to drop at least 1 & half stone by September.

Im waiting for a 'friend' to pay me some money she owes me, she owes me £218 and has promised to pay in the next week. Shes promised before but hasn't come thru. If she does pay up I will be able to pay off my Bank of Scotland loan in August!
If I can pay it off, plus the usual minimum payments it will drop my total owed to just over £5000! All rests on my friend!

Im off now to give my collegue a lift to her football club, then pick up my Poker (chips not cash!) buddie from the train station to save them from paying for taxis. 2 good deeds done today, its worn me out!

Woo! Just grabbed some extra shifts from work. I'll be working hard for the next 4 weeks, but the extra cash means I won't have to rely on my friend to pay me back!
I will be able to pay off my Bank of Scotland loan without her. If she does pay me as promised all the better!!

    Hey all,
I've written a letter off to Bank of Scotland asking for a settlement figure as I want to pay it off in August.
I sent it 2nd July but had no reply yet, does anyone know how long they usually take to reply? (We've also had the Post Office strikes or course).

Thanks, (and thanks for replying, was begining to think the only one reading my thread was me!!)

I might even be a little bit cheeky, and while I can pay off BoS in full, I might see if they will take a final payment of £100 less. If not, no loss!

Then the payments that were for BoS I can put towards the next in line!
