Hopefully it will be sorted next friday (good thing about being paid weekly, I don't have to wait too long til next payday), but I was expecting it to be sorted this week!
I have left a note asking if there is anyway I can get it earlier, maybe they can take it out of petty cash or something? We shall see.
Incidentally, these are extra shifts, so I will still have money for my bills etc. But extra money is always nice as a 'safety net'.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

1000 paid would be good. 20.04 a month in reduced interest payments.
With 185 surplus on your last SOA and 135.62 in payments coming to 320.62 I think you're going to be debt free before the end of December 2008. Takes about 350 a month on average. Takes about 420 to do it by the end of September 2008. I won't be surprised if you manage that.0 -
Here's hoping!
Few extra shifts...extra payments...as little spending as possible...I could just do it.
Need to get my bro's birthday, and of course Xmas out the way too!
Just put the new figures into snowball, with both HFC's at basic payments, and credit card at a £205 payment. And my new DFD is January '09!!
I want to be debt free by Dec '08, to start '09 fresh, so this is fantasic! Anything over £205 will just bring the date forward!
Gunna update sig with new DFD!!:D 18 months! *squeals happily*

Well I couldn't get my missing wages paid early, but I have spoken to the supervisor, and he assured me I would be paid them this Friday, apparently he was doing the wages when I spoke to him, so he assured me he added them straight away (we shall see)
My best friend came back from her holiday and we took a stroll in the woods with shadow for a catch up. She went straight in the lake (Shadow, not my friend:p) and chased the ducklings, got soaking wet and generally had a ball.
My brother and his girlfriend are down on Wednesday. On Thursday (or Saturday, hes not decided yet:rolleyes:) we are heading into town for lunch and birthday present hunting, then I am doing a BBQ. I've decided instead of burgers I'm going to make healthy chicken kebabs to have with wholemeal pittas and salad. I've got a couple of marinade recipes, and will do some plain, so everyone can have something they like.
Then on Friday I have to work in the morning, but they are coming round in the evening and I'm going to cook chilli con carne. Then we're out for a game of bingo and a few drinks.
I usually make the chilli using a packet mix, but I'm going to make it from scratch this time. I thought I would make a small taster the other day, and have it on a jacket potato, but it turned into a huuuuuge VAT of chilli! I had enough for my jacket spud and 3 portions for the freezer! :rotfl:
It was very nice thou, a little too much chilli flakes, and the recipe called for 2 glasses of red wine, this was a little much, so I think next time I will use 1 glass red wine, and 1 of water. I also added a couple of squares of chocolate, and it gave it a nice deep flavour.

Hey all!
I popped up to Asda after work to get some BBQ essentials, I'm getting excited about my healthy menu! Don't even ask me how much it came to!
I have 3 types of chicken kebabs planned, plain, hot & creamy marinade, and yakitori marinade. Garlic mushrooms, salad, rice with sweetcorn & peas, pitta bread and jacket potatos.
Only 2 things have set me back slightly, Asda had no kebab skewers, or mushrooms!!! So I might have to pop into town on thursday morning.
I bought 2 chickens in Asda, chopped the legs off and froze them, chopped up the breasts and stuck 'em and the wings in the various marinades.
Then I roasted the carcasses and picked off the meat, and then boiled them.
I've just strained off the water/stock and frozen 2 small cups of it. Then picked off the rest of the meat (there was tuns left hiding in all the bones!), stuck it back in the stock with some chopped mushrooms, little ginger, herbs, salt & pepper. Just blitzed it and it tastes fab! I've frozen most of it and saved some for work tomorrow.
I'm getting good at this cooking lark.

Hey all!
Well 'healthy' BBQ went very well, I seemed to get full because of the food, rather than feeling bloated from the burger buns and still hungry! The yakitori marinade was delicious and bro seemed to prefer the kebabs.
Went to bingo the next day, (didn't win) and then went out for a drink. I got nice and smashed
. Coming home I fancied a burger, but the takeaway was shut, so I finished off some of the BBQ food in MSE style. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 5am to go to work!
We didn't go into town as bro was feeling worse for wear, so I've not had to pay out for his birthday present yet! So I only spent £42 of the £70 I'd budgetted for this week.

Be careful when you change pet insurance. Any condition that you have already claimed for is unlikely to be covered in the new policy so if its something that may reaccur it may be worth waiting or you could have high vet bills to pay. This happened to me with my boxer dog, he had an ear infection that took ages to clear up and cost several hundred pounds that we claimed on the insurance and they paid. 2 years later I changed insurance company and of course he got another infection and the new company refused to pay as they said it was a pre-existing condition!
There are loads of people on this site that give great advice and support. Good luckProud to be dealing with my debts!
