my hubby has just gone onto the night shift he works 7 day patterns 3 days 4 nights then off for 3 then 4 days 3 nights and off for 4 the girls always seem to be worse when he on his nights its more stress for me cause i do it all the get up and the bed time and they miss him but thats his job and nothing can be done so we will have to learn its hard when only one
Ah - I've only just returned to this thread and have seen your reply to my post. There's a lot going on here michellenealemum. You are coping with everything while your OH works, and when he's sleeping the children have to be quiet which is even more stress. They miss him and you pick up the pieces!
Maybe that family meeting is the way to go to talk about some of these things too and get everyone suggesting how it could work better, not least you thinking about ways of reducing your stress and being kind to yourself.
Sometimes we forget about the bigger picture when children's behaviour if challenging for us. It isn't always obvious and it doesn't make any easier to deal with, but working out why can suggest some solutions - sometimes.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
