valued opinions is a waste of time, you end up earning less than £2 an hour, and a lot of the time the you'll send 10 mins answering answering questions and they don't pay you for it. your better off collecting aluminum cans off the street
People aren't relying on this site to make a living. You should probably get a proper job too? This is just a way to earn some extra money to spend in the stores.

I've been paid for every single one of the surveys I've done so I can't say I agree with any of this.

I am having problems of accessing their surveys. They send me the link and I click into it but the surveys are not opening at all. They also do not appear in "Available surveys". I e-mailed them twice but they keep ingoring me. I also received e-mail saying that one of my surveys did not go through quality control and therefore will be no reward..

I'm not getting many surveys from Valued Opinions at the moment but the ones I have had, I have had problems opening too. They don't open in IE where I have my GMail account signed in but if I sign into my email in Firefox and open them there, they open OK.

The last survey ran through a few 'tests' before the real questions which was unusual.

Whilst I can't say I have been paid for every survey (Valued Opinions included) I can say that I agree with the payment level, survey sites are there to give you the option to share your opinion and help form products and services so they work for us not a marketing employee. I think £2 an hour is actually pretty good, I've done surveys for far less and some for free (competition entrees for competitions I don't believe exist and sweepstakes for winnings that no one ever wins).

If you change the way you think about them and try to understand that your not doing it for the money, your doing the surveys so you have a chance to get your voice heard and to see products before they are launched and maybe even control the way products are formed. The odd product trial isn't bad either!

Once you keep this in mind it stops feeling like such a chore and you stop worrying about weather or not your making the minimum wage because believe me, once you take into account all the failed surveys and competition entries, you never will.

True, but my time is valuable, and I choose how to spend it. I will not do surveys for prize draws nor for low returns. Whether I do a survey or not for a poor return will also depend on how many other things are vying for my time.

I dont do survey for prize draws, on Toluna i get kicked out the survey because you get a prize draw. I have dumped loads of survey sites now my inbox is bare lol.

My word V/O are getting slower and slower for pending credits to be added to your balance.

More and more screen-outs. I did the gambling survey and it crashed after about 40 or more minutes!! (it wouldn't let me back in)

I am ONE survey short of an e-voucher and then I think I will get my coat!!!!!

I haven't had any surveys from Valued Opinions for several weeks when normally I get several per week. So, I wrote to them to see what the problem was. After two weeks they had not replied and finally I got a generic reply this morning about a completely different subject. I contacted them again and reiterated my original point and they just sent me this reply:

    Dear Valued Opinions Member

Our database has blocked your account because you have failed one or more of our quality control checks.

This may include giving answers within a survey that contradicted each other, doing the surveys too quickly to have read them correctly, putting the same answer for each question without reading the questions, i.e. clicking question 1 each time, or failing to put a typed response to a question if required.

I am really unhappy about this as I don't even know what I am supposed to have done. I belong to at least a dozen survey panels and have never been kicked off a panel or had any warnings about these points.

I thought I would post this as a warning, if you haven't had any surveys from them for a while then this may be why. I cannot see how it is possible not to fall into one of those traps as sometimes questions do all have the same answer (such as don't know for a brand I've never heard of, and made clear, but they are still asking me about), those of us who are regular survey takers no doubt complete them faster as well.

I have been with Valued Opinion for a few years now and never had this happen to me on this site. I know that it does happen to people and there are a few survey sites with the same policy if you happen to complete the surveys to quickly. I would also phone them and ask for my account to be re-activated and if your account is active again do you lose that points that you had in it!

i have had that message a few times on individual surveys but then again i have had a message saying i have already completed the survey when i havent. i just take that as a glitch rather than a personal message.

but i havent had my entire account blocked. vo is one of the best paying surveys i have done and most importantly continued to do.

i hope you get back on
