Yes, very odd. Thanks to your reply, I checked out access using Firefox (I normally use Chrome). With Firefox it worked just fine. I have just deleted my Valued Opinions cookies in Chrome, but the site still shows old pages. Weird!

I use IE for all my surveys (to avoid any potential problems caused by privacy extensions I use with Firefox) and it shows fine there, and in FF having just checked. Don't have Chrome installed to check, every time I try a Chromium based browser I up giving up on it because of site niggles and errors that simply don't exist in Firefox or IE.

Well, I haven't had many problems at all with Chrome, though it's true that some of the survey companies don't write with Chrome in mind. I used to be a great Firefox fan until I started having problems with pdf files with it after an upgrade once. And now it seems big and clunky compared to Chrome. And I love the way I can enter just a few letters in the Chrome URL field and it knows what I want. In fact, for Maximiles I only have to enter the "m" and it puts up the whole URL. For the dreaded Facebook I just have to type the "f".

So it inveigled its way into being my browser of choice. I keep trying IE9, but somehow it seems cumbersome. But it's probably me, out of my Chromium comfort zone!

Back (almost) on topic, either VO or Google must have changed something for things to be fine one day but not the next. Yes, I am the other variable, but I haven't messed with anything, guv!

I couldn't log in via the phone app last night but could on the lappy although it was hellishly slow. Cant get in at all on either at the moment.

same here, haven't tried to log in but tried to access a survey they emailed me about and just says 'connecting' and nothing....
  • Hi everyone.
Right, I joined the survey site Valued Opinions about 8 months ago.
After a slow start I really got into it, I loved doing the surverys. I would get an email now and then for links to surveys to do. I would also go on the site every couple of days to see if there were any new surveys available for me. You get paid differing amounts for the diffrent surveys, and when you reach a rewards total of £10 you are able to redeem your rewards total for a voucher (i wanted the amazon voucher)
I managed to get to a total of £9.75. But then it all went quiet for me. I wasn't recieveing emails anymore, and when I go on the site there are no surveys available for me. It has been this way for a few months now. So no surveys avalible, I looked for diffrent ways to add to my rewards total to get it over the £10 mark. I discovered if I invited friends and they joined and took part in a survey I would be rewarded £1 for each friend. I tried to add my best friend and my sister. But guess what, this didn't work!!!! It just said "you must enter a valid email adress".
I emailed the site and I got emails back saying I hadn't entered the emails right, or my friends were already member. I checked with my friend and sister and they weren't members already.
It just seems that as soon as I have gotten close to claiming my reward they have stopped all ways of me adding to my total.
So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I would also like to know if anyone has managed to claim thier rewards succsessfully.
I really enjoyed the site while it worked for me
I hope someone else has had a good experience with the site.
    Thanks for reading
    Jennifer
