  • Have a look on www.hillbillyhousewife.com under recipes, there are some banana bars or muesli bars on there I think.

not sure if you could replace the bananas with other mashed fruit - the bananas mix in with these flapjacks principally to give them moistness + a little sweetness, but without the sugar

do give them a try - you won't even know the bananas are in there once the flapjacks are cooked.

The banana flapjacks are a great idea and i will be giving them ago this evening, i have several bananas that really need to be used and i will be making a banana cake so the leftover bananas will be just enough for the flapjacks.:D

Me and DD LOVE cereal bars but we don't like bananas!!!!!

    Any other 'fruity' alternatives???

    TIA

  • I've bought a few of these bars as they taste fab and was wondering how i would go about making them at home i bought a few ingrediants to put in them that i would like cashews, dried figs, and some mixed seeds and i will add a small handful of rice crispies as it seems to have these in them too, i also bought some liquid glucose as this is an ingrediant too.
Do you think its just a case of mix it and see?

It would be nice if it works - I love them too and have you seen their breakfast cereal - eat natural in a large tub - just the ingredients as in the bars but not bonded together - looks nice - but is pricey
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j
