we wouldnt be in the same position because my husband has pride and would not rely totally on others to support us. signing on was never an option for us.

Is there a reason why you cannot work? An additional income would surely solve your problems?

the reason i dont work is that i have a baby and 3 other children who i prefer to care for rather than give to someone else. As their parent I want to look after them.

Isnt that the reason we look after single parents?

So its ok if you choose not to work but if others do it they are scroungers???

So you choose not to work. What makes you different to the lazy people who dont do anything for themselves?

Then dont complain about it, your husband has a low wage and your getting CTC for four kids and working tax credits, that will at least double his take home pay yet you are still attacking other benefit claimants.

Maybe your husband should try and study in his spare time to improve his job prospects if your so unhappy with your lot?

Everyone else is paying for you to stay at home and look after your kids and you want jam on it with a free laptop.

i total agree with you these people should get off the back sides an get jobs, round here they knock kids out for fun just to get homes and lots of money. An the people who get cars an stuff because they cant hear an got a bad arm, make me sick. Why do they get a brand new cars given to them give them clapped out old sheds.

i am just above min wage an my wife works part time when the kids are in school and some nights. I under stand what your saying we couldn't just go out an get a laptop but these lazy gits can, an i bet if i was from different country i could.

What relevance does that have? Am I not allowed to give an opinion without quoting the ages of my family in my sig?

You wouldn;t qualify anyway as you clearly ALREADY have computer access?? Presumably!?

With respect it was your choice to have 4 children on a very low wage, so you have to accept tha if you are not willing to work to provide an extra income, you will have to go without! Staying at home t look after your children is a CHOICE, one with which I agree with if you can afford to, but you will have to put up with making sacrifices!

I made the choice to stay at home with each of my children, while my husband works a full-time job, it was important to me to do that until the last one reached 5, when I then got hours that fitted around the children 9eve/wkends), other than CTC we don't claim anything else, we have had to make sacrifices for me to be able to do this, having no car being one of the hardest things to give up, but we made that choice because we wanted to have the children.

Having children is about sacrifices, I'm afraid you can't have everything in life at the same time unless you are very fortunate!

    *Hahaha !!!!!!?

So suppose change in circumstance- if you got a free laptop, then you too would suddenly become a Lazy git?

Is that what you are saying? That everyone that is eligble for a free laptop is a lazy git?
All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.
