A part time job will not change the amount you need to pay. The assessment should take into account your two children.0

thanks......so she could be working, going to college, her mam has never worked a day in her life so claims a load of benefits. she waited until my daughter was 16 to make a claim just because we fell out and me and my partner were due to have another baby! i wouldnt mind paying if they actually needed it, it was done more out of spite than anything else as i used to give my daughter money every week etc!!0 -

Hmmmm. So, you didn't pay child support until your daughter was 16, is that right? Contact and child support are two different things. If I were you, I wouldn't begrudge what you are doing now.0

yeah thats right i seen her when she was 5 for 1 year and again at 14 till 16,then we had a fall out and the csa got onto me.PlayingHardball wrote: »Hmmmm. when she was born i used to get into a lot of trouble and i was also going to court to get to see my daughter but got refused(long story)
surely i wont have to pay if she leaving college for 11 weeks ?0 -
You appear to be trying to worm out of paying what you are obliged to.!
Im a NRP and have always been compliant yet I have had the most awful time with the CSA over the past few years. I have every sympathy for those NRPs that pay their way but I have no sympathy for those NRPs who set out to avoid paying or simply dont pay. It is NRPs like those which the CSA should focus its efforts! When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -

Imagine if you had been paying maintance from day one, you have got out of paying a fortune and now you grudge paying for 11 weeks whilst she is off college!!When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -

You should discuss this with your child and your ex. It would be interesting to hear what they have to say about your trying to get out of paying maintance despite having not paid for so many years. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
