tbh I've always found it strange that the population at large can expect 11 people to play as a team when they only have a month together - yes when the individual players play for their club they are better but that's surely because they know their team mates' quirks and ways of thinking.

Also you don't have the media building you up to be something you obviously aren't...........

That's really what I was referring to.

I think some people are suited to the role and others aren't ....I don't think it felt comfortable on Rio's shoulders and maybe Gerard feels the pressure ..Let them get on with kicking the ball around if that is what works.

It really did look more than anything else like what was needed on the pitch was for someone to lead from the front ..I was going to say , someone to scream at the team ..but I think the vuvuzalers have stopped that option.

We had a bad day ..The passing was unbelievable ..The over use of James as an easy pass back was foolish and weak and the long ball made the team look like championship new boys trying to survive a first season in the premier league.

But we are still in it ...Were in as a good a position as the Italians.
