Surely he isn't a full time student and a full time employee??!I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -
Insurance generally have a first job and second job category for situations where someone does part time work in addition to their main occupation.0

He's at college during the day and works most evenings and weekends

If he uses the car to get to work/college then ensure the policy includes commuting to a place of work/study.
Adding one additional lower risk person normally does reduce the premium. Adding two probably wouldn't make much extra difference but worth a try.Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Well I've got it down a bit (Punto), 2.2k with one additional adult and 1.9k with 2!
Would still like to reduce it a bit more, it's a lot of money for an 18 yr old.
EDIT 1.7k for the Saxo...0 -
Someone else said this to me today -seems strange but we'll try that:cool: Is it likely to work out better with one additional adult or 2?
Also, would it be more beneficial to put him down as a full time student or employed? Both of these can apply to him
It was cheaper with us both as additional drivers and we put him down as student and working part-time.
Just read your last post, think you have now found the same.0 -
It usually makes no difference to the price include commuting, btw. One trick I discovered the other day is including 1000 business miles may actually reduce the premium further.0

Things must have changed.
I used to insure the beach buggy, with a 1600cc engine, with a shorrocks supercharger when I was a student, It was affordable for me then as an only car.0 -
