Gosh sorry its been ages since i posted in here!

Ive been bagging the bargins for my baby gear big time!

Last week i bought a tommee tipee bottle and sterliser kit with 9 different size bottles, bottle warmer, electric strerliser, dummy, 2 insluated bottle bags, single travel microwave bottle sterliser. Was £99.99 reduced to £66.66 plus i had a voucher which got it down to £61.66.:D
I plan on breast feeding for first few months all being well but i also wanted the whole kit just incase things dont go to plan and while it was on offer!

I also bought a £60 mamas and papas moses basket for £9! I had been collecting my Argos vouchers to buy it for £60, there was only one in stock in the whole of Essex which just so happened to be my local Argos! So i kept checking it was still there every few days and all of a sudden its was reduced to £29. And it was still in stock! I had £20 Argos vouchers so got it for £9. Im so chuffed with it!:D

Today i bagged Huggies wipes for 24p as they were on special for £1.24 and i had a tesco baby club voucher for £1 off.:D

I also bagged a Newborn huggies starter kit for 50p as that was on special at asda baby event and i also had a £2.50 off voucher!:D

    Phew so lots of bargins.:j

Im now 25 weeks pregnant so i can claim in heath pregnancy grant of £190. I get the form 2moz at my 25 week midwife appointment.

My OH has had someone steal his credit card details and spent £500 online at Apple. Luckily his credit card company wrote to him asking him to call them as they suspected something as he didnt even realise! So they have put it down as fraud and are sending him a new card.

Which worried me a little about me saving my money in my normal account. Someone could nick my details and take all my money, so i moved it to my crappy ISA for now.

Erm, nothing much esle to report apart from im on my week holiday off work. Then i will be back to work for a week and then Maternity starts!!!!:j:j

Sounds like you have got some bargains there!

That is good about the maternity grant, can go towards some of the baby stuff.

I saw your Facebook about people judging you because you are not married. I would agree that is rediculous. You will prob be better parents than a lot of married people.

Oh god yes! the questions strangers are asking me recently since my bump has bloomed. I just want to slap them round the face and say who are you? what does it have to do with you.

Because i look so young too i think half of them think im a teenager and pregnant.

Well i had my 25 week midwife appointment today, after i thought i better change my address as they need my new one for home visits off midwifes and health visitors. The receptionist told me no you wont be able to stay here you will have to find a new doctors closer to your address. Meaning i will have to have a new midwife!!:( My new address is only a 3 minute drive to the doctors. I wasnt happy at all as ive just got used to my midwife.:(

So i went straight to a doctors that the receptionist gave me an address for nearer me. Its horrible tiny and smelly, the place was empty too. Plus they close all day on a Thursday...so what if me or baby is ill on a thursday? How stupid! grrrr

    Anyway,

The past month ive been making a note of how much ive been spending on food shopping. I spent £147 on food for a month. Not bad i think. Is that bad??

£147 is really really good! Ours is around £250, mind you OH's pack lunch is the most expensive, it comes out as around £3 a day as he takes sandwiches (with meat and cheese), tomatoes/pepper, radish, tea, chips, chocolate, raisins, apple and banana. Imagine how much it would cost if he buys it at work...

Shame on changing the doctor, is there any other around you where you can go? After 3 years I realized that actually the out of hours walk-in clinic works as a gp as well so I transferred myself there as I always went after or before work, never saw my gp anyhow (and getting an appointment was a nightmare), at least now it's guaranteed that I can see a dr on the day I need to.

Well done on bargains, in my local boots lots of newborn size nappies were on the reduced section as well as nappy creams and nappy bags.

Thanks Kavics:D yeah my OH gets through 6 slices of bread for his lunchs a day and demands chocolates bars, cake and crisps for his lunches too so i spend a fair bit on them.

Ive just been having a bit of an add up on how much ive spent on baby bits so far. Without the bottle kit as OH paid for that. Ive spent £98. I thought with the Health in pregnancy grant i should get soon which is £190 that will be the amount i spend on baby bits.;) So i still have £92 to spend. This will include maternity bits i will need like the dreaded breast pads, maternity pads, slippers, nightie etc etc

Ive just realised that my car is overdue an oil change. The book says service every 2 years or certain mileage. And its no where near the 36k mileage the next service is due and last service was 2009 June. Spark plugs dont need changing until 72k miles and my air filter is a special one you never replace you only clean it once a year yourself with a spray cleaner (which i only done a little while ago) so it only really needs an oil change. Which should be cheap enough. I could get my OH to do it but really i want the paperwork for my service history.

Sounds like you are doing good with your saving.

You have got some great bargains with your baby stuff, you have hardly spent much at all and have so much as well.

Hope you are having a good weekend.
