Afternoon
Phew!!! What a mega hot day! Weather like this i need a ice cold cider:beer:. No can do though:( Ive been sticking to ice poles to cool me down.:D
4 more working days then no doubt the sunny weather will disappear for my time off work! I dont have anything planned, i must must make a dentist appointment for a check up espically seeing i will get it free with my NHS card! I doubt they will be able to fit me in just next though more like a months time!
I need to pop to Asda and get in a mini shop just bread and lunch bits really. No doubt i will come out of the place spending about £20 though.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Well back from the shops and i spent £6.48 in Asda in the end. I got 2 loafs of brown hovis for 13p each:D So stuck one in the freezer there only the little loafs just handy enough for a couple of days sandwhichs.
I also went to the retail park nearby as i needed heels cushions as the stupid new pair of pumps i bought for work the other day are knackered already! The heels in them have sunk down and you can see and feel the squares of plastic in the heel. So i bought heel foam pads for £2 at Boots.
And then i popped in TKMaxx as i need some face day cream and they normally have it in there half the price of Boots. But there wasnt any in there!
But i did pick up a maternity wedge pillow which ive been looking to buy as i have trouble getting comfy in bed now. Which was also reducued to £5 from £13:D Then i saw a cute sleep suit and hat set which i couldnt help but buy for £6.
So £19.48 spent. BUT then... i had to take out £70 for my OH for my electric and virgin bills. There in his name to get him a good credit history but im paying them.
So £89.48 out of my account today.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Friday:j:j:j:j:j
Ahhh, ive got the week off work next week.:T:T
I had a really bad day at work on wednesday, my so called 'good friend' who ive helped not only with work but outside of work all the time doing different favours for her decided to be a female dog.
First off i made a big bag of clean laundry that needed to be taken downstairs for me as its too heavy but as soon as she saw me packing it she said im not taking it for you. I said well how will i get it downstairs then, and she told me to go get the washer up from the kitchen to take it! I cant do that! Chambermaids were asked from management to carry all laundry for me clean and dirty. She works inside like me but the other girls work outside. I didnt want to drag them all the way inside just to move the bag downstairs for me as i thought my friend could do that. But oh no she wouldnt!
Then the next day she gave me 12 rooms to do and herself only 10! Knowing that im not suppose to do no more than 9. I asked her why i had so many she told me i could block two rooms out (tell reception not to let them out) So i wnet and asked my manager if i could do that he said yes thats fine but reception then told me i couldnt, my manager herd and came out to me and asked how many my friend had i said 10. To which he run off upstairs saying she can do them as she stays 2 hours later than me anyway.
I followed upstairs but wasnt as quick i herd him tell her and she kicked out shouting why did she go down there and tell you that and make me look bad blah blah blah. It went on for ages he was saying know she came down to block them out like you said she could. but oh no she was crazy at me saying ive gone down to our boss told him she is giving her too much work to make her look bad.
Well she does do that but there you go. I got :mad: so walked off and decided to work out my maternity leave as i cant take it there no more with my aching feet and legs and unhelpful collegues.
I have 2 working weeks left now! I have a week holiday next week, then back at work for a week then another week holiday, then a week at work and then 2 weeks holiday and then my maternity starts on the day my holiday ends.
:D:DI worked it out so i wont be there for the V festival thank god!!! August really is our busiest month and the boss wasnt going to get anyone in to help so i know that it would of been too much for me espically in this heat.
So im going to be very bored for 3 months but at least i can rest and perpare for my little boys arrival and not have to stress at work.:j
Im taking a year so will be unpaid for the last 6 months of maternity but im hoping we can cope. If not i will ask to come back early. Or i may not go back at all. We will see.
Phew long rant there!:rotfl:Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
That is so rude of that girl. How can she be so mean when she knows you are pregnant!
That is good news you dont have to work much more before maternity leave.I am sure the breaks will make you feel much better and more relaxed.0 -
Thanks wendz:D
Well i had a small lay in until 9am, OH alarm woke me up at 7am though then every 10 mins for half a hour. His so rubbish at getting up for work in the mornings!
So far ive done 3 loads of washing! I love our washing machine it has a 15 min cycle and nothing i needed washing was stained or every dirty so i put them all on that cycle!
Its all waiting to be taken to my parents to dry on there line.
Ive done the washing up, cleaned the kitchen, changed the bedding. I really need to hoover but the hoover is in the cupboard under the stairs and i have to bend right down and squeeze into it to get it out so i think i will wait until OH is home to get it out for me.:rotfl:
Ive just done a PC survey so have £4 paypal coming my way soon.:D I also have something to test from them that came yesterday i will do that later on.
Oh i forgot to add i had my haircut on wednesday so that set me back £30!! grrr. And i also gave a £2 tip...why do i feel i have to give a tip? So really cost me £33. But it had to be done as my last cut was something like september 2009! haha!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Sounds like you have had a busy morning already! I am going to do some cleaning and sorting today too.
I haven't had my hair cut in ages either so getting that done today.0 -
I can't believe she gave you more rooms when she was there longer... some people are horrible, at least you get a rest soon though.
I've never really understood tipping, I know everyone does it, but I really don't get it. We don't give tips to people at checkouts so why do people give them in restaurants and so on...
I've got 3 pc surveys to do so I should really get on with them, more money for the loan...Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Im the same with taxi's too if it £8 and i give him a tenner i feel i should say keep the change instead of waiting for the £2.
Ahhh week off. I got a small lay in this morning as the alarm still had to be set for OH to get up for work.:( Then my mum text me quite early to tell me Asda has a sale on in the baby clothes section.
Yesterday me and OH went to Lakeside retail park and went in babies r us to look at the travel system i love so much. Good job we did as it huge and theres no way i could push that around the shops etc easily! Its so cute but so unparctical, i doubt id would of fit it in my car boot even though i measured my boot.
I couldnt find anything others i liked instore but tbh they didnt really have much of a range instore. I also tried mothercare but i didnt like any there either!
So now im just going to buy a Graco plain black travel system, its much small and more light weight. And £80 cheaper than the i love my bear Graco system i wanted.
All i bought yesterday was a changing mat! Oh and a rug from Ikea for the living room. Im never going in Ikea again! What a horrible shop i thought i was never going to get out!:rotfl:Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Just caught up with diary, was away on holiday. Shame about your so called friend, I would be bloody furious. But good on you stopping work early, it's better not to do anything for 3 months than be upset because of work. My sis is a teacher and she was at home from about 16 weeks-the school holiday started at the end of June in her school. She didn't go back in September as it wouldn't have been fair on the children leaving just before xmas so she had a long maternity leave. She became a domestic goodness-she decorated their house, did lots of staff. 4 years on she really enjoys being at home (she had another 2 kids after the first one within 3 years) and is planning to stay at home till the little one is about 3ish. Some people are lucky
, I'll probably will need to get back to work after 6 months if I get pregnant
. So just enjoy!
Oh, yeah, and my sister loves Maclaren Techno Xt-she started with a Graco but gave it up within a month, it was too bulky for her. It's not a travel system so you'll need to buy separate car seat but it's small, fits in most of the cars and most of all, you can get into small post offices, shops, etc. And all 3 of her kids loved it as well!0 -
Hey kavics hope you had a lovely holiday.
Ive searched and searched and im sticking to the black Graco now. Ive always wanted a buggy to push everywhere one out the way like mums seem to me when im out!:rotfl:
I went in TKmax yesterday and found a Graco footmuff for £15 in the sale so grabbed that as the footmuff is seperate to buy and £20 online so i saved a fiver. I also bought a sleepbag for £7.99.
Then i popped to Boots as i had printed off a free pack of huggies nappies voucher from huggies club. So went and got them saved £3.99.:D
My mum called me yesterday morning to say Asda had a clothing sale on and there was lots of baby clothes in the sale. She said she was going to buy some bits. So i thought id see what she bought before going there...she had a bought tones! But all mainly 3-6 months as she said all 0-3 and newborn had gone. I know he wont be in newborn very long anyway so im going to buy mainly 0-3 months.
I also done another PC survey yesterday so another £4 paypal coming my way.
I had a lovely lay in this morning, im not sure what to do today. Mum has gone to my nans to then go visit my grandad in hospital. I didnt fancy going there again after last time! Espically when it will be there lunch time. Last time i went when it was there dinner time and had to listen to a man choking and throwing up.....my worst nightmare!:(:o
It wont be a no so end day though as i need bread and mayo. So i will be popping Asda and probably pick up a tone of baby stuff while im there!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750
