if your already have a skill or qualification that you can use then great working from home could be for you e.g mortgage adviser/architect/childminder.... and you would be self employed - running your own business.
If you are doing unskilled work then then you are likely to be getting less than the minimum wage, envelope stuffing etc....
If you are utilising your own skills it is really difficult to build up your business and the more work that you put into your business the more you get out of it. You can advertise your skill and use word of mouth and cards in shop windows to get more business.
But if you are envelope stuffing you have no hope of increasing your income to a decent living wage.
This might seem like an awful thing to say but a lot of people appear to want something for nothing and it just isn't out there.0 -
What about writing articles for magazines? I have just sent for a writing course, which looks promising, as it covers all aspects. Hope to write short articles for magazines etc. Has anybody any experience of this? Is it feasible to make a little extra every month, which is all I'm looking to do? Any feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.0

I do Avon been doing it nearly 2 years i must be a glutton for punishment
. Don't earn loads but it does fit round the kids well. I have a private group on ebay if any avon ladies are looking for advice or a lol we are friendly in there.
Avon are not perfect and things do go wrong but i have never had a problem that wasn't retified.
If something goes out of stock for a long time all you do is say its sold out after 2 months. I would never exspect a customer to wait that longer than that.
If an order is wrong its my fault as i input and order online.
With returns they are usually slow to open and update accounts. If you email and state they have been returned yiur account will be recredited no problem.
My delivery driver told me they are unable to leave parcels if a safe place is not indicated . I indicate a safe place if i am not in.
5 or 6am is not good though i usually get mine around 8am
no creepy or pervy customers yet!!!
i would not leave a book with anyone who has said they are not interested. Avon say i dont' leave enough books around. I am not into the hard sell i would never bother anyone who wasnt' interested.0
