I do Adult chat phone lines and get well paid.............but it's not a soft option, if you'll pardon the pun.

You need to be very chatty and have a VERY broad mind. The company I work for is really professional, and provide some basic online and telephone training. A good imagination is essential............

The bonus to this kind of work is:

I act the part so it's not me doing it if you see what I mean.

I have no overheads

I get paid for each second of the call. Works at a min of £9.90 per hour of chat.

I can work around the kids and hubby.

No calls unless you log into the system.

Disadvantages are:

Self employed so need to sort out your own tax affairs etc

you have to be disciplined to actually get on with the work

You sometimes get calls that really make your skin crawl :eek:

You need a very understanding partner :rolleyes:

OMG I have just read that link to the texting work.........

I get nothing like that at all. Mine are tame compared to that :rotfl:

And I don't have to work any set hours or days:j Just when I want to. Can be for a minute or all day. I have heard this about text companies, and I did initially get a job with a company which was basically trolling chat rooms with your 'special' number, and pretend to be interested in dating etc. That was far too personal for me.

Nope I will stick to conversation, it;s far easier, and the company never complain if you can't handle a call and hang up.

You do calls not texts though foreverskint? I could handle texts probably but not calls ~ I spent enough time working for national aids/drugs and drink helplines and being free phone numbers I got plenty of people assuming that they could talk dirty to me and I would respond, instead of hang up :rolleyes:

Wish I got commission now lol. I was given the link by someone on here too for the same reason so anyone who wants it pm and and i'll pass the link on to the companies job application page. As I said I only worked with them for a few months but had no real problems, there was no initial outlay from me and I got paid on time each month which is the important ones

As I said this company just do texting not phone lines. The phone work is much better paid but I can text whatever I like with a toddler round my ankles or next to hubby watching telly, whereas I don't think I'd want to be on the phone talking dirty. The texts aren't all rude either, its just most of the conversations head that way lol. And you are occasionally a guy being texted by a girl too if that bothers anyone, or a gay guy, etc. My husband laughs his head off whenever he sees those adverts on telly now, thinking of me drinking a cuppa typing 'oh yeah babe i'm feeling so sexy' lol

I actually prefer the dirtier texts purely because that all those guys know what they are texting for whereas some have been texting for months (at £1 per text sometimes!) and seem to think they're having a real relationship with someone, felt a little uncomfortable to me.

Make up your own minds though. When you get the company name, have a little look round the net for info if you like, I did before applying. You'll get a mixed response about them but they are one of the few texting companies that will take on people without experience and definitely a good starting point, or easy income if nothing else

ps. edited to say I should point out unless you are willing to work many many hours you won't make your fortune frm this one. Its easy money but not necessarily good money (but much better than no money!)

Apart from my weddings and commercial work I also inspecting for https://www.srl-online.com an advertising audit & mystery shopping company.

They send s/e inspectors out in their locality to inspect and photograph billboards, bus stop and train stations ads - to check they are what they should be and are not damaged, peeling, graffited etc.

It's paid per inspection with a small mileage allowance. You need a digital camera (3mp at least) and transport. The mystery shopping element is also paid per assignment they do the type where you go somewhere and fill in a survey as well as over the phone.

You can do as much or as little as you like, the amount of work depends on your availability, flexibility and in the end how good at it and relaible you are. It's possible to earn hundreds+ per month if you have the time and live in a city where there's lots of advertising. They cover the whole of the UK and Northern Ireland.

I worked for SRL and found I was making less than the minimum wage. I never got any work locally and most of the time I was sent to places 20-30 mins drive away, without petrol costs being reimbursed.

As I didn't know the places I was visiting, it was time conuming keep looking up places in the map book, then trying to locate the poster, find somewhere safe to stop and keep an eye on the road. Often posters were tucked up side streets, making them difficult to see while driving and some were in pedestrian only areas, so you had to pay to park up which also wasn't reimbursed.

Give it a try, but bear in mind it might not suit all.

I work from home and make money from merchandising, auditing and mystery shopping. The money is there to be made, but you have to put heaps of effort in to be the "star employee" with the best companies to get the plum jobs. I find it worthwhile and enjoy what I do.
