We're not the same. You understand click and point like 99% of the industry. I understand deeper internals and quality design. And facts are facts. Running a silly Malware tool isn't the answer to this problem. It'll help but it isn't the solution whatsoever.

Do you even know how these tools identify Malware without a Google? Do you know their timing issues and flaws? Do you know how an operating system allocates memory, CPU time and how software releases resources back? Have you seen how huge legal background processes get? Seen them when they have huge memory leaks over time? Dell released a monitoring software years ago which leaked (since it was malloc()'ing and not free()'ing). This gave a 'ITS MALWARE OMG PROBLEM MY P.C IS SLOW' when in fact it was a programming problem and the solution was to stop it starting during boot time.

The OP does have small pieces of Malware. However, how much this 'speeds' the system up is extremely debatable.

Did you enjoy thinking you're the 'MSE Techie' or something? I'm confused to why you had a problem in the first instance... could you possibly explain how you feel and why you feel like this...

I give up. Basically, you don't have a clue. I won't respond to any more posts. Keep kidding yourself.

    Cheers, Alien Rik.

Actually Rik does know quite a lot. But although we work differently on troubleshooting he helps a lot of people.

Me, I've troubleshooted for about 10 years and seen most problems, hardware and software. Now for me the quickest way is to start from scratch by formatting and reinstalling the os. To me it saves days of log files and deleting this and installing that and running scans. Rik likes to go the longer route. But you can't say he knows nothing.

Verystupid - why does being in a maths class (at any level) qualify you as a computer deity?
I was top of the class through primary school so I must be me more qualified than you :p

Someone already posted that when a member asks for computer help it's usually because they'er not very knowledgeable so replies must be aimed at their level. This is very true, but some of your verbal diarrhea has me confused and I'm no dummy with computers.

you may know more about computers than some others on here but god forbid, some on here may know more than you.
Be humble with your replies and help and you'll find people aren't hostile towards you.
