An amateur here but surely dealing with the malwares etc first is a priority before figuring out what other things may be causing the computer to slow down?0

#27 "" Quick question. Next to your clock, how many icons do you see? ""
- agree with it / saw it / ignored it / it's so basic and pre-malware I never thought to comment on it.
- your obviously on an evangelical crusade of some sort so I'll leave this thread, if RIK, Browntoa and others also leave, you will be able to walk hand in hand with yourself through the rest of this [ now convoluted ] thread.
Yes bat999, I had a look through his other threads hours ago
Pity he's knowledgeable and could have made a useful contribution in some area's, but very confrontational
We may have one, so :

It's a priority but you'll save much more resources killing quite large, legal processes which are being booted at boot time. Also, many processes do something called poll()'ing which is essentially looping a piece of code checking for data on a descriptor, whether that be a network socket(), a file descriptor or another stream. These 'background' processes do a lot of this as it's often part of the design, for example, to check for a new event and then launch (well, fork() since the application is already loaded, so it might create a child process - depends on design). More modern pieces of software and a lot of the operating system code use soft interrupts, but this is kernel level (note soft != hard interrupts).
So, while Malware should be checked, from those logs and a piece of software I can't recommend, I'd say the impact is minimal.
However, aliEnRIK and his posse will prove me wrong because I'm just a troll!Just another dumbass with money...

Don't worry, I'll continue to help.
Its sad that people can't seem to see he was clearly confrontational at first. It's childish.
Also, is there a problem with my previous posts

Youve no idea at all do you
Is that what you do when you meet new people? Tell them you were in the top 20% in your maths class? It must make you so proud :rotfl::idea:0 -

No, you posted a comment and I replied explaining why I already knew I wasn't 'the cleverest person to go to University'. The reason being it's highly respected, thus brilliant foreign students come to study. It's a simple piece of logic but maybe you struggled!
