Not a problem. You shouldn't need to feel like this if someone comes a long with a little more experience and knowledge than yourself. I was politely engaging into a discussion until you got hostile.

I also made myself out to be nothing. I gave true, factual knowledge. If I am wrong and incorrect then please correct me. However, I believe you're having a hard time doing that and probably don't want to engage in any technical talk as your knowledge may be limited.

Open your mind verystupidwithmoney, much of what's done down here is with individuals of massively varying degrees of capability. Add to that the remote [ ness ] of diagnostic instruction, the inability of the O/P to access pro-tools, or even, our ability to post the URL's for such products means those who offer support must work within those restrictions.

So, RIK and others have to use free tools that O/P's haven't a clue about but can be taught to use quickly [ still not understanding what / what / how ] without destroying their system while searching fr a solution.

I keep saying it, and will do so again - you have to work at the level of the client. The tools you use the approach you take and the diligence required to follow it through to completion is fraught. Knowing is not enough, teaching others is the trick !

Exactly. And running a Malware tool isn't going to show you true, resource hogging processes...

I think the following is pretty basic advice:

"Quick question. Next to your clock, how many icons do you see?"

This is often a good indicator of true running processes.

Thought I had! :T. I worked as a research student in Liverpool University, studying Mathematics... the professor used to always say, 'a person whos lost for words can only resort to hostility'. Mathematics is very hostile!
