also note the oil rig doesnt close for christmas / new year. yes they might have a nice lunch but oil is money and money needs to keep flowing. so we might loose 3 hours production over this holiday period.
facts are,
the BOD are GOING into production in Q4 2011,
near by fields have fload
Statoil has 2 billion sitting in the bank and they have a field just next door and they have been exchanging information.
they are backed by a few large oil producers (BP etc gave them 20 million)
there are no issues with unstable goverments
oil backbone is already in the north sea (cheap to get ashore)
there is a tone of oil waiting to be extracted
oil is at 80+$ a barrel
they have licenses for two fields next door to bentley
they have issued the poision pill, (thinking somone might try buy them cheap)
take a look what happened to dana petroleum they were taken over with a hostile takeover for £18 a share and they have a similar amount of oil BUT spread over many fields so XEL have cheaper extraction and transportation making it better value per barrel.
I can see a takeover before xel get to production for £18 +0 -
Am not in for a short term profit. I have de-risked all of my original investment, so no risk there. I'm in until production starts. I may sell some on the way, i may buy some more when i judge the conditions to be right (see yesterday). I don't jump ship just because someone spreads a rumour on a bulletin board, or comes up with a crackpot theory about why the investment is doomed. Do you really think Xcite will leave all that oil at the bottom of the North Sea just because they're a couple of weeks delayed by bad weather? If you do, you are spectacularly wrong. Bentley will be developed and i'll be in it along the way. If you don't like what you hear from the board, just don't invest! Simples!0

where did he say he banked, he said he derisked his entire investment
anyway who cares, you have flow tests to worry about and kabwe mine dumps
Read it again he said he derisked by taking out his entire original investment ie his initial stake and he is now in for the free ride, that's the perfect way to invest. He also said that he bought more on the way up (buy limit kicked in!)
I have absolutely nothing at all to worry about in terms of flow tests or Kabwe acquisition as they will happen.
And there was me thinking you knew how to invest! I suggest you read some of Warren Buffets books.0 -
Because i've de-risked, i don't feel any pressure being in this share at all. I did extensive research before I bought the share, so it wasn't bought on a whim, and I see no reason to change my mind. Good company, no negative fundamentals, good comms and huge upside potential. No downside pressure because i already have my money back. I realise others will have a different investment strategy, but i'm unspookable in this share now.0

Indeed and I've bought mine with profits from other shares and my average is about the pound mark. It's wrapped in an ISA too so that means no CGT. I'm holding to the bitter end!0

at this point i think the flow tests have been completed and results are good, i think they are just cememting the data and getting a good few days under there belt, i would expect a positive RNS soon
i will be in on the other side good luck0 -
Told you mate not to get out! Flow testing is ongoing, first signs are apparently good rates but we shall see when we get the RNS from the horses mouth so to speak, until then believe no one or trust anything!0
