Some people may sometimes call their wife their partner. Why does it matter anyway?

Theres a huge range of disabilities and many people have multipul disabilities too, just because some parents can work donst mean that all can, it depends on the childs dis/ability.

Yes and whilst that point is valid for the mother (who in *most* cases would be the one who stays at home to look after the disabled child ) , what excuse does a father/step father have for only working 15 hours per week?

Peolple , and this is common knowledge , are milking the tc system by only going out to work for the minimum hours they HAVE TO in order to qualify for tax credits !

My sis and BIL aren't married but they have been together so long that I call him my BIL and sis calls him her husband....ok legally that's not correct but at the end of the day it's only a bit of paper, she feels like he's her husband and thats what she calls him.

Yes , and i couldnt agree more seeing as how my brother isnt married but i still call his partner my sil BUT ..... if you re-read the op you will see that he mentions that he is only just moving in with this woman so HOW can it be his wife ? This (in my opinion) is a new relationship NOT an ongoing marriage.

  • I noticed that too. Initially sounds as if he has met up with a single mum and they a forging a new life, then all of a sudden they are already married and the child is his.

who are you to assume such a thing?

when i said wife it was a figure of speech...

not that i need to explain myself to you or anyone else on their high horse on here, I just wanted a bit of friendly advice on what best to do, as ive said, ive applied for other jobs at full time hours, but I never get them, Ive tried to get more hours at my current job but they cannot help me either.

my partners daughter is from her previous relationship, and just LOL @ "forging a new life" - you silly !!!!.
