I've still got my fridge, in it's wrapping, sat in the dining room. I've tried emailing, calling - all with no joy.
Any ideas what we do now? To be honest, they can just come and take the thing away - I can't be bothered chasing it up any more.0 -
how did you'll apply ? is it still open for applications?0
-
We all applied almost two years ago now...0

I unpacked my own fridge freezer and was using it long before anyone from Rltec contacted me about monitoring. Is there any reason you haven't unpacked yours yourself?0 -

Have heard nothing from Open Energi yet.
I can't believe they are being so secretive - must have cost a pretty penny in fridges! Bloody great fridge though0 -
I can't remember the exact terms but wasn't it to be connected 2 years, with the threat that if it wasn't connected to the internet they could demand the fridge back?

I still have the T&Cs document which clearly says the trial finishes on 31 December 2012 at the latest (it's a bit complicated but I've pasted the relevant section below - note it is whichever event is first to occur).
Yes it must have cost them a fortune, I have no idea whether they've gained any useful info as it appears to be a complete shambles.Commencement and Termination
4. The Trial (insofar as it relates to you) will
start on installation of the Equipment (as
described in clause 7 below) in your home
and end (again insofar as it relates to you)
upon whichever of the following events is
first to occur: (i) your withdrawal from the
Trial; (ii) termination of the Trial or your
participation in it by RLtec; (iii) you moving
home (unless RLtec agrees under clause
22 to your participation in the Trial
continuing in your new home); (iv) the
ending of the energy supplier Carbon

Haven't heard anything from Openenergi - have now removed my monitoring equipment and stored it in the event they ever want it back.
I expect it to still be here in a few years.0
