I received an email just now saying I'd be getting an upright fridge-freezer soon, which is great - except I'd applied and previously been told I'd get the upright freezer.
I called them up and apparently the email is incorrect, I'll still be getting a freezer, but it might be six more months.
It was supposed to be arriving next month, not sure our current one will last that long!
Well mine finally arrived. :T I recieved another email saying it was on its way in November which I put no stock in, but then had a call 2 weeks ago saying was I able to have it installed the following week! It's pretty huge - tall but narrow which is quite good in our kitchen. They've not done anything regarding the internet connection but I don't mind as long as the freezer stays!0 -
Well the engineer has just left - 27 minutes after he arrived!
It was the first one he had done so had to call their support line to be talked through it but it was very easy once he knew what to do.
An ethernet cable gets connected to your modem and plugged in the mains. Then another cable gets plugged into your fridge/freezer and the fridge is then plugged into a box that gets mounted on your wall, the box then gets plugged into the mains.
He had no idea what gets monitored or how it works! He also ordered me the front bit of the top freezer drawer as mine is all broken.0 -
Ooh interesting the_mum. Do you know what number they called from when arranging for the engineer to come? I've been getting calls from 'Unavailable' and 'International' this past week when I'm out at work but no voicemail messages left.
Edit: I did notice when I unpacked mine that there is a small box at the bottom of the F/F (at the back) with an ethernet connector - is that where the F/F box gets plugged in?0 -

Sorry, my husband answered the call so I'm not sure.
Yes the box is at the bottom right of the back of the appliance.0 -
Thanks the_mum, I'm sure if it is them they'll leave a message at some point (or email as they have that address) :T0
