Previous comments suggest that you don't need a wire going all the way from router to fridge. It sounds like the fridge has a wireless device built in, and this transmits wirelessly to another device which is plugged into the back of your router (so technically it's not over your own wifi, but as good as).

Looking at the questions, they are going to use networking over mains power, They will probably supply the fridge with a pair of powerline adapters, one to plugin next to the fridge, the other next to your router.

I also notice that you can't apply for the trial if you have a pacemaker, or if "anyone who may visit your house over the next two years has a pacemaker"!!

Keep submitting my info, but takes me back to the same page with all info still ticked and filled in. Can anyone confirm if you get a new page saying congrats/sucess, or is it an email confirming interest?
    Cheers

  • I too have had a 'site closed for upgrading' message - but the main site is not down, just running slow. I suspect that once more Martin you are a victim of your own success - too many money savers! - and that npower site admin has decided to stop taking applications. I will keep trying though.

Does this also mean anyone who has one of these fridges - or anyone who buys the model after testing???- is dangerous to pacemaker wearers?
