I bought a cheese & onion quiche yesterday and it turned out to be quiche lorraine  I'm vegetarian- i didn't eat any luckily because i noticed the ham or whatever in it before i took a mouthful!
I was just wondering what my rights are before i take it back? do i need my reciept? It was a deli one which was off the shelf, so i'm assuming it's one of the in store staffs fault? Alot of my friends are saying i could get free shopping etc, is this true?
questions questions! I thought i'd ask here first as everyone is always so helpful

Free shopping? For what?
It sounds like a simple error by the counter staff, and you didn't even notice yourself it had ham in when you saw it there waiting to be bought, so you're not entirely 100% faultless yourself.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Is the pastry on a cheese and onion quiche vegetarian anyway?Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0

It doesnt , but it was hardly life threatening . So expecting free shopping is unrealistic :rotfl:Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
Hi, i used to work for morrisions on customer services and you should take it back and you should get a refund at least, take it up with the store manager though, it is massive fault on the part of the counter staff, why should you have to double check that the right product is in the pack, thats the whole point of having a label! you are likely to get a good will gesture from the manager. good luck!0

I certainly didn't expect free shopping! One of my friends said that so i thought i'd ask my rights. I was not being greedy at all just checking to see if i could ask for any more than a refund.
I think a lot of you need to go back to bed and get up the right side.;)
And thank you skint student nurse for the advice!:T I will do that, thats all i was requesting, a little advice not rude comments saying it was my fault and that i am greedy.0 -
thats why i thought i would jump in! ive known mis-labeling to happen in the store i used to work in and its obviously because people are too busy talking and not concentrating on what they were doing! i know people were getting gift vouchers or wine as a good will gesture, but i assume this varies by store and the mood that the manager is in0

Thanks for jumping in! I know it's not life threatening but i'd rather not chomp on a bit of meat! :rotfl:I hope the manager is in a good mood today and not as grumpy as some people around here0 -

So someone incorrectly put the wrong lable on it, it was a mistake.
If you are a vegetarian and it's very important to you that you don't have any meat containing products you could have asked the counter staff to double check.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
