I'll never understand why Vegetarians can't eat meat, but are perfectly happy eating eggs and milk.0

Vegetarians by definition do not eat meat.
Eggs and milk aren't meat.

Because you don't have to kill the animal to get eggs and milk.
I'm not a vegetarian by the way, but my friend is and not for moral reasons, she was diagnosed with some sort of digestive condition and gets really ill if she eats any.Marsh Samphire0 -

Well you thought you might get free shopping........:)
Seriously though, whilst it is a mistake, just take it back and get it replaced.
I would be hacked off if I was a veggy and was offered meat but in reality it has just been mislabelled - nothing sinister !Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.0 -

I do wonder how some people get by in life.
lulupop123, can you seriously not walk upto a counter in a shop and say "Hi, I purchased what I thought was vegetarian, but it's wrong, can you fix it for me please?" without first consulting loads of people?0 -

No Vegetarians by definition do not eat vegetables only. You are wrong the word actually does not come form the word vegetable, vegans only eat vegetables though.Origin of the Word "Vegetarian"
The word vegetarian, coined by the founders of the British Vegetarian Society in 1842, comes from the Latin word vegetus, meaning "whole, sound, fresh, or lively," as in homo vegetus-a mentally and physically vigorous person. The original meaning of the word implies a balanced philosophical and moral sense of life, a lot more than just a diet of vegetables and fruits. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Meats more expensive than veggies so maybe they'll be happy to have it back..... or maybe they'll let you keep it as a good will gesture :rotfl:0
