afternoon everyone
its been cloudy but dry here so i have caught up on all my washing from last week
procrastinator sorry I didnt see this until this afternoon - hope the interview went well and there is a job waiting for DH - how are you?
welcome to the thread lou2468 have you been here before as your name sounds very familiar? I will be sending you a pm shortly (with my other ID!!)
smartie12 good to see you back - shouldn't you be eating smarties????????????? hope you are keeping well.
wilf "coppered hammered paint" sounds fabulous - I have a lovely vision of this in my head now!!!!
AnW'sMum shame on you - what a terrible example you are giving your 2 children:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: glad you had a super time xx
short_bird thats brilliant news about the windows :T:T- what a huge difference they will make - it will certainly be worth the wait and the hassle - you will need to try and do some of the prep tonight.
lemanie the ladies here will vouch for the fact that I often used to go to bed with Sean!!!!:D I think he is just the bees knees!!!!
newlywed good luck with the company you used to work for - fingers crossed for you - look on the positive side and decide that you are getting this job - what are all the jobs you need to get done before you go back to work - make a list!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl: that might keep you going for a wee while and also make you feel that your time out of work hasnt been wasted - (((hugs))) its not easy.
Mumto5 huge (((hugs))) pet - I hope you can get things sorted out for everybody's sake - could you get rid of the children and have a blazing row to clear the air? You need to tell him and help him understand how much he has hurt you - we are here if you need support or to vent or anything at all.
Triker oh angel I am sooo glad you are feeling better - it sounds like you started your AB's at the right time and stopped it before it got worse - but like the others have said its not an excuse to go and do silly things - please take it easy!!! (((hugs))) xxxxxxxLunch cooking = dog pacing.
ammonite honey everybody has given you great advice so far and I am going to stick my tuppence worth in too (no show without Punch you know - hey stop groaning!!!:rotfl:) moving house is the most stressful thing so dont be hard on yourself - i think you said you had a spare room to put stuff in for now so get everything stacked up in there that hasnt been dealt with yet - make the other rooms as clutter free as possible - then as pigpen said a bit of cleaning and a bit of tidying - if you have the main part of the house almost 'normal' you can then take things from the boxes and find a home for it or stack it back neatly until you have a home for it. You may also want to try 2 other tricks we use -Mudbath's 60 in 60 where you run around (or crawl in my case!) and put away, throw out or recycle 60 things in 60 minutes (or it can be a combination of all 3) - it is quite effective. Or there is AnW'sMum's dot 2 dot - you pick an area -NOT a whole room - maybe a chair or a coffee table, or the top of the microwave etc - just a little spot (DOT)- you totally clear it, clean it, deal with what was there , only replace what actually should be there (usually nothing!) and then the trick is to keep that 'DOT' clear - then you do the same somewhere else and eventually the dots all join up and you have a clean and tidy room and/or house - its very effective too because like the 60 in 60 you can do as much or as little as you have time or energy for but you can see the results. Sorry to go on but i hope we have all helped you and you will soon make progress. xx
Dusty hope you and DS1 will be feeling better tomorrow - smart lad!!! Is your leg still bad too? xx
cazzab Congratulations on your little man's safe arrival - its early days so take it steady and get your routine with him sorted - its lovely to see you - can we have a piccie - what weight and what's he called (if you dont mind me asking)
soappie thats brilliant news about the chooks -lovely fresh eggs - hoping they are not all roosters - BB will love them too - how many are you getting? Will they be going out so soon - I would have thought they would need to be indoors for a while yet -I havent a clue but just the thought of those wee fluffy bundles outside and i would be wanting to give them cosy jumpers until they got their feathers:rotfl:
mrsow well done on your first day - you have made a great start- sorry to hear DH has hurt his back - hoope he feels better soon.
havent done a huge amount today - probably very little from my list!!!

Evening all, plods back
Well i did even more cleaning, remade DS1's bed and cleaned his room. Decided not to clean/sort his boxes as its HIS job not mine.
Just need to sort DS2's bed and our rooms now.
Just making our dinner now as we spent the past two hours playing football with DS2.
DS1 called up and he's loving seahouses so far, he's visited a castle and a bird island. All there heads got pecked but it wasn't that bad. The children were only allowed five minutes to call as it was tea time. But he sounds very happy so now i feel i can rest.
oooo i can smell the pasta gotta go x0 -

Thank you each.
Toots - they are born colour coded so the girls are able to be instantly distinguished from the boys (apparently sexing chickens at an early age is a real art and one not to be taken lightly! I believe it involves a torch and various other bits of medical equipment like rubber gloves and things).
The school will NOT let roosters (hence the colour coding) be adopted because we are, after all, living in a quasi suburban setting and no-one wants the rousing chorus of a rooster to disturb their peace (football hooligans, police helicopters, police and ambulance sirens are acceptable it seems :rotfl:)
The minimum we can have is two. But I have said we'll go up to four if there are enough females to go round another couple of families.
As to being young and fluffy and vulnerable, I have a lot of research to do. It seems we get some sort of instruction manual but I will need to do my own research just so I can make sure I'm doing it right. They may end up in the front room for a bit
I think what will really get me is the fact that I've got the link to the webcam and will be able to watch them individually hatch. I'm a sucker for the young of any species
But, I have fluttered a bit this afternoon. As the bins weren't actually full, I took the opportunity of decluttering a bit of garden stuff. I know where the hen house will go, so things need to be re-arranged.
Dinner is in the oven and I'm going to catch Springwatch in a while...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hi all, just thought I''d pop in for the first time in ages. Haven't been around for a while - I found the later stages of my pregnancy were quite difficult and tiring so I decided just to do what I could or what needed to be done. Anyway, baby boy arrived on his due date (6th June), and I am still taking it easy! Hope everyone is ok - sorry haven't been reading thread. Hope to be following the lists again soon!
congrtulations on your flyboy! we await pictures! and details!
dd2 decluttered 2 more exams - and i think they went reasonably - no tears anyway. So all she has left now is Geography paper 2 (Thursday) and Food Technology (Weds next week)!
Most importantly she is taking tonight off - AND SO AM I!!!!:D:D:D
Work was a load of b******s! There should have been 4 of us to set up ...today there were 2 - and the other girl was late. Two of the TA's who used to help in emergencies have now stopped because it means they don't get a break. Fair enough - but it means that I am running like a blue a***d fly!!!!!!!!!!! Today the deputy head helped - and he agreed that it was an intolerable situation.
On the plus side DD2's order from the New Look sale arrivbed 15 mins ago - and she looks lovely in all of it!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
