I've relisted the items that did not sell, so hopefully someone will come along and buy them the second time round! I could do with getting some more listed, but not sure when I will get a chance to do that.
Relisting - there is still a chance to make so dont stress yourself out about listing some more. Youve done really well so far this week, great news about tax rebate too, you never know you may also get one!! Fingers crossed for you!Clutter clearout - 12 bags

The stuff that ended yesterday has only been on the once so I'm hopeful I'll get some more sales. Some of the other stuff has been on a few times so I'm not so sure.
I'd like to think I'd get a rebate, though probably not. I did the tax code checker thing on here the other day which suggested that I was on the wrong code, but I get an essential car users allowance and claim back mileage etc, so I'm not sure if that would count against it.Yes, i've fallen by the wayside somewhat with my listing!!!but i hope to sort that either later today or tomorrow!! Thanks tattycath, hope you manage to get some listing done.
Tomorrow and Friday (and next Thursday and Friday) I have to leave for work between 5.30am and 6am :eek: and stomp around the streets for a few hours doing some surveying. It means I don't get my day working at home, plus I'm going to be shattered so I don't know how motivated I'll be to get any more on."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi Jwil,
Looks like you're not too far from me. I'm on the Wiltshire side of Bath.
I wondered if you have read 'Save Karyn' by Karyn Bosnak. Although an American book, it is quite inspirational and a true story. It's about a girl who moves to New York and gets consumed by consumerism and loses her job and has to find ways to pay off her credit card bill. I wont give anymore away but I think you might enjoy it.
Anyway, I'm sat in my computer room (I wont even deign to call it a study and no studying ever goes on in here) surrounded by all thing things that need to be listed and now the camera battery has died and I have no idea where H2B has put the charger.
Oh well, I think I'll just watch Kirstie's Homemade Home on 4Od instead...
Keep up the good work! Similar thing happened to us with our joint credit card. Since we use it like a current account then pay off the balance once we are paid, we got a nasty shock when the bill came with payment 2 days before payday. We ended up paying minimum payment, then paid the rest two days later.0 -

Hi ebayQueen, yep, not too far away
I've not read save karyn, but I think I have heard the story before. It looks like a good read though, and it seems to have accidentally appeared in my amazon wishlist!
I'm enjoying Kirstie's homemade home, even though the amount she spends on these people makes me cringe! I'd love to be able to walk around an antique market and go 'ooh an umbrella stand that I'll never use.. £100? Bargain, let's have two!' :rotfl: That aside, I do like the principles behind the programme and it inspires me to try and do some new things.
It's annoying when the CC companies change things, they may well have notified me and I've just ignored it or missed it. I think I have it sorted for this month though and hopefully will be on track for next month.
Hope you enjoy your evening!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Two years ago when we started clearing the house, my ebay feedback was around 200 from buying mainly, but the odd selling too.
Today, it has reached 1000 . I haven't really bought that much on there over the last couple of years, and considering that many people don't leave feedback, and when you sell multiple items to the same person, the feedback only counts once, that just shows how much I've sold over the last couple of years! No wonder it does my head in!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Wow! My feedback is a massively hugely gigantic 45Hoping soon to reach the dizzy heights of a blue star.

Blimey I'm shattered. Done my surveying and now back in the office. It only rained a little bit, so I'm glad about that. Not looking forward to having to do it tomorrow though, it's even further away.
Not much to report really, hope everyone is having a good day. It's nearly the weekend! :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've had my renewal quote for my car insurance today. They've put it up by around £90, which isn't too bad I think as I had an accident last December. Technically it was an at fault claim so to be expected. I kindly told them where to stick their quote though as I had such a bad experience (more with their recommended garage than them to be fair).
They took over 3 months to repair my car, with it just being parked in their car park for over 2 months of that - they didn't even cut the string my DH used to tie the bonnet down with so we knew they hadn't even looked at it!! This is after them turning up to collect it in a car which promptly broke down outside my house, and them driving my car back to the garage (40ish miles away) without knowing at all what state it was in.
3 days after I got my car back eventually, the brakes failed  We took it to our local garage and he said they had bodged the servo and put a pipe from another car on there which didn't fit! I've also had to have the headlamps realigned as one was pointing upwards, the other downwards!
I think it's funny in that we managed to sell our house and move in less time than they took to fix my car. All the while, their broken down car was sat in the road opposite my old house, unlocked - because one of the locks didn't work, with a load of crap in the back! They were warned loads of times that we were moving and that they needed to collect their car, but they didn't bother for ages.
This is a recommended repairer that supposedly does work for a lot of the major insurance companies as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
