Oh Jwill, you are allowed to be fed up time to time , but never ever lose the big picture which is you are doing brilliantly. Just read your diary and see how much you have done so far...

And if you are fed up with people, sod them ;)

Thanks everyone, you're all so lovely :A

I think I've just dramatically got out of the wrong side of the bed today :o

I got my credit card statement this morning, and I've had this card for years. My payment date has always been 3rd-6th of the month, so I pay it the day I get paid. This month it is 29th. The day before I get paid. Minimum payment £198. Where the hell am I going to get that from? That means that is 2 payments out of this months wages! The ebay money is already allocated, so that's no good unless I sell loads more.

Then I look at my PAD figure - that is how much I have paid towards my debt over the last few months (not including payments which I have forgotten to record) and not including mortgage payments. Then I look at my debt figure - having paid £4000, I've paid off... NOTHING. :( That's all my own fault, as my debt has increased, and I knew it was going to happen, but in my mood today, it's bothering me.

I have my car MOT and service due at the beginning of December, was trying to raise money to cover that.

I decided to try and get some of my ebay stuff which had bids on it prepared to pack this morning, (it goes out tomorrow night), and find that I've totally misdescribed something, putting the wrong size on there (must have been using man inches :rotfl:), so I had to cancel the bids and end the listing early. I am grateful I noticed now and not after it had ended, but it was doing well (Obviously!) and not having done this before, I didn't realise that I wouldn't be able to email the bidders and tell them why I ended it and apologise. So once it had ended, I have no way of knowing who the bidders were.

I got one of those teasing amazon emails saying I've sold a book, but they can't get the payment from the buyer, so please don't send it.

I got an email from my boss today which I am certain I've completely overreacted to, but it's still annoyed me

The cat has vomited this morning all over the window ledge.

    And the list goes on...

Sorry if I've depressed you all now, but I feel a bit better after my rant :p

I'm back for a bit more, seeing as I've stuffed my face with tea now :D

I think I'm just tired, it seems never ending with trying to raise more money, I can't seem to have a break because I can't afford to stop.

I've got a busy week at work which probably isn't helping.

I'd love just to go away on my own for a few days and have a complete break, but that's not going to happen so I shall just have to plod on.

And I was a bit miffed that Aiden got voted off the X Factor last night - I liked him! :D

  • Aw jwil :grouphug: Really sorry you're having a bad day, you're always so positive to me and have spurred me on when I've had days feeling like you, so big hug and sympathies from me.

Could you ring the CC and ask them to put the date back? Or get a temp overdraft from your bank just to cover the 3 days or so? I've done that before - asked for an OD just for a month.

Quite a list of annoyances for you to cope with, no wonder you're fed up. More hugs from me :grouphug:

I know the feeling, especially when your best-laid plans go wrong. And all this raising-money-and-paying-off-debts stuff does seem relentless, I agree. A few days away would be lovely - or even one day total relaxation at Cedar Falls - have you ever been there - would do you the world of good.

I don't see how the cc company can just change the date like that - as copperjar has suggested, you should be able to get them to change it back - explain that it would come out before you get paid. There should be plenty of time for them to amend the direct debit date.

Thanks everyone, your words are all much appreciated.

I'm still down this morning, but I'm sure I'll get out of it soon!

My DH gets paid on the 26th, and usually then transfers me his half of the mortgage and bill payments. So I think I'm going to ask him to pay the minimum on the CC and then transfer me the rest. That should mean that it is paid ok. Next month I assume it will have to be even earlier, due to Christmas so I shall try and get organised for that.

Unsavy, it's sweet that you think I'm inspirational, I think I'm far from it myself, but thanks anyway :o

Tattycath, I meant to update on here but never got the chance over the weekend. He had his disciplinary on Friday, and got off scot free :j. They have taken on board his comments, and are going to investigate them. He hasn't stepped down, but is still considering it, but is going to see how things go for the time being. It's a big relief, and the union did him good pointing out the errors of their ways, so we were very pleased.

Peaceandfreedom - would you believe I have never been to Cedar Falls which is amazing considering I live about 15 minutes away! I'm not comfortable in those sorts of settings at the moment, but maybe one day I'll go.

On the debtbusting front, I have redeemed £5 amazon voucher from bingoport, so that will be with me Thursday. I've added that to my total. My ebay sales which are going out tonight are looking worryingly good, some things are going for much more than I would have expected, so I am going to be paranoid until I get feedback now :o, but hopefully all is well!

    Have a good day everyone!
