:wave:Hey everyone, sorry for the absence, it's been so hectic this week, and to top it off I've been away with work for 3 days which hasn't helped really, but on the other hand, has given me a chance to get away from the debtbusting, so it's refreshed me a little. I've got to go away again for a couple of days next week, but hopefully things around here will be more sorted so I'll have more time.
I hope to do a proper update soon when I've got a bit more time, but I have been thinking of you all, and hope to catch up properly soon.:kisses3:
Hope you are all well, and thanks for the messages :A"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Hi everyone!
Phew. What a month it's been. I seem to have just been rushing around like a mad thing the whole time, and not achieving very much.
I've had some sales on ebay and amazon which is all good, and at the last free listing weekend, we relisted everything even though we weren't going to, and sold loads :j It was all stuff that has been on there before, some of it for a while, so it's great to see the back of it!
Of course the usual numpties are still about - remember the person who paid well over the odds for an item? Well unsurprisingly, I got a message last week saying it has not arrived . I asked them to wait a bit longer, and see if it turns up, but I'm sure that will have to be refunded. I did tell them that I had proof of posting and that RM will be looking into it and may contact them, so hopefully that will put them off.
I also sold a book on amazon on Tuesday, and got a message from the person saying that they needed it by Thursday. Amazon give you two days to post the book anyway, and I don't offer expediated delivery. I was at work when they purchased it (about 11am), and don't get home until after the last post has gone so the earliest it was going in the post was Wednesday. Luckily for them I have a batch of first class stamps so they were used, but people are so flaming unrealistic. Even posting first class there is no guarantee they will get there on time! Why order so late, and then if you do need it quickly, buy it new and pay for next day delivery!
Unfortunately my debt has increased. I have done nearly all of my xmas shopping, but had to put it on (0%) credit as I just don't have the cash right now, and I have also signed up for a new OU course. I haven't studied for a few years, and I needed one course to complete my second degree and finish a diploma. When on the website, I realised that the course I need is having it's last presentation next year, so it's time to do it. I don't know how I'm going to fit it in, but it's now or never so it's got to be done.
So I now need to try and pay of my Xmas presents before xmas, and would like to pay off this course before March.
So muvch going on now, and I'm away for 2 days this week, and then away soon as well. Hopefully things will be calmer when I'm back."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Morning Jwil
:)
Good to have you back.:):)
I know what you mean about numpties...too many of them around. Couldn't please them if you try ... make sure and block them so they can't bid again. That is what I do.
Well done on taking on the new course. It will be tough but as you say its the right time to do it and it will benefit you in the long term. You have your Christmas presents bought and that is one more pressure of you. So well done.
Take care
E
Have been feeling rough myself this week but hopefully will be back on track very soon."You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis

Hi Ebayqueen, hope you feel better soon x
I certainly do block the numpties, I've got no patience for being messed around any more.
I'm quite impressed as a load of the stuff I ordered yesterday arrived today, not bad!
I'm away now for a couple of days. May pop in but will see what time and internet access I have.
Hope everyone is well!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Back again now for a day or two, then I'm off again! I'm so looking forward to not rushing around so much.
Not much to report really, I'm missing out on the free listing this weekend but will do a bunch of new listings when I'm back.
Came home to find that the toilet cistern has developed another crack and water is seeping out of it. That means it's time to get it changed as it's just going to shatter soon if we're not careful. *sigh*. It's another expense I could do without, and I think DH is going to have to cover it again, as next month I have MOT and service, and insurance.
Really must get on with getting some more items done and get this cash flow problem sorted once and for all.
Hope everyone is well, and I will get updating again more regularly soon!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi jwil
Good to have you back postingIts a shame you are missing the free listing this weekend but i'm sure you'll be able to get some on next time - they are fairly regular at the mo.
Bah! To the toilet cistern - sometimes it really feels like there's always something doesn't it? The positive is though that i guess once its done its done and its not a continuing expense. Hope you have a nice time away :jCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Thanks DDFW, I prefer to use free listing days for relists and start my new items at other times anyway, so I'm not that bothered. We are planning on a listing marathon when we're back anyway so hopefully will catch up soon.
The cistern is an annoyance as the whole bathroom needs doing, and it's currently a coloured suite, so it's going to look even worse now, but on the brighter side, it should work an awful lot better than the existing one, and it will be a worry less for the time being. We're just going to get the cheapest job we can, and in the future will replace the whole lot again."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
