What am I entitled to (if anything?)

I have been on the 'entitled to' website but to be honest am none the wiser.
I have just had some test results back (I already have chronic IBS) and according to my test results am about to be diagnosed with Osteomalacia (a Vitamin D deficiency).
I am currently in receipt of JSA and have an agreement with the Slob Centre that I can look for 'easy part time work' because of how I feel from day to day.
I haven't tried to claim ESA instead of JSA because the way I have been feeling hasn't had a name... up until now!
So, if I am diagnosed with the Osteomalacia (this causes chronic fatigue, problems walking sometimes and intense aches and pains in the legs and arms) what does this mean I can claim?
I am confused as 'entitled to' is saying income support, but I thought immediately that ESA and then the lower part of DLA would be correct?
If someone could shed some light I would be very grateful. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is for how I have been feeling since last summer to actually have a name!

If you check the criteria for DLA and what they class as care/mobility needs/problems and you feel you fit into any of the catagories, then i certainly would put in a claim. The Direct.gov website lists what qualifies a claimant for DLA at all the various rates. Sorry but dont know anything about JSA/ESA x0

Don't know if you are referring to the JC as this due to the claimants or the people who work there - however, on this forum, you are asking for advice from both claimants who may have been through the same experience and can offer very useful advice, and from some people who are actually staff there. Considering these are the very people you are asking for advice from, I would change my wording a little - and you might get some!0 -
I see what you mean, it's just where I live that's what everyone calls it and laughs about it...! It turns going in there and being down in the dumps into something that makes us laugh, it's in no way meant to offend AT ALL, so please don't think that - humour takes the seriousness out of life sometimes, it's good for you.
The staff where I go are just wonderful.
Honstly, sometimes on forums the nit picking is just silly, especially when people are asking for help.0 -
Yes a sense of humour is a wonderful thing - I thoroughly enjoy having a great one
Remember when posting on a forum though - that people cannot see your sarcastic look when you type somethng, they cannot see the twinkle in your eye - so basically need to take exactly what you have said, as you have said it. It's not nit picking - it's simply being respectful of those very people that you are asking for help.
YOU are the one asking for help, which I hope you get, but don't put down the very people you are asking it from0 -

It's not funny though is it, or at least it isn't to the people who work there.
People are more than willing to help, but not when you are going to have a laugh at their expense.

Whilst I appreciate that a complete stranger calling you a slob would be a huge delight to you, others may not share that experience.0 -
Oh for goodness sake, now I know why I hate forums - nit picking and wanting to jump on someone for the sake of it for entertainment.0

Not at all. For many there is a huge stigma around unemployment. Even more so in recent years as it's effected so many who have worked their entire adult lives, and now find themselves in an alien and uncomfortable world where they have to claim money from the state, an act many see as just one step removed from begging. This stigma is one of the many reasons that suicide so disproportionately effects the unemployed. Whilst I appreciate that your comment was intended to be humourous, you must also appreciate how it may be very offensive to others. After all, however funny they may be, we don't make jokes based on skin colour. Or maybe you do.0 -
Might be an idea to start again with a fresh thread. I think you've exhausted any goodwill on this one.0
