I am finding it hard to get online with my dodgy laptop at the moment so have been a bit AWOL but today is my favorite day of the month - my virgin cerdit card has arrived! I love that it used to be my worst day of the month but now I love seeing that those horrible numbers are very slowly and very surely coming down.
I had a friend up to visit for the weekend and we have splashed out on a new crockery set as we got our other one as a wedding pressie 6 years ago and there were too many chips in them. It was £14.90 from IKEA though so it feels like a not too naughty treat! i also bought myself some soap and glory goodies but spent my boots points so there were pretty much free!
I put our updated SOA on our original lightbulb moment help thread and have had lots of great suggestions to bring our outgoings out futher.
I had my first exciting competition win on Friday when a fab jigsaw book came through the letterbox so i feel really smug and determined to try to get back into comping.
My surveying is starting to really plod away and I have already started to build up a stash of Amazon vouchers for Christmas. It is so dull but once i reach payout levels I feel great knowing that the kids will have lovely toys at christmas and that we hopefully won't have had to pay a penny!
I need to have a look back at my 100 day challenge as that will be over soon and we have done very little - oops!Est. debt free day April 2016 (ish) Debt at June 2010 £34,247.13Debt at Dec 2011 £27,499.09 (19.7% paid off)Working together with DH on our debts (twindad07)Long haulers supporters DFW #2560 -
Just updated our figures and we're under £31000 and nearly 10% gone but we've had a fairly pants couple months in terms of payments, too many out goings, new bed - other one fell apart, car tax, service and MOT etc, not great but we didn't add to our debt, so in a way thats a small victory.Est. debt free day April 2016 (ish) Debt at June 2010 £34,247.13

Payday today so time to get back on track. We need to get back to monthly shopping, every time we go shopping we spend far too much. For the last two months we have spent double what we should be on food. Thats through our poor planning, if we stick to our meal planner we should be able to save money to put towards our debts.
I got an extra pay today from a Saturday revision session I did so I've sent the extra pay to Virgin CC, and hopefully we can get rid of that card in the next 6 or so months.Est. debt free day April 2016 (ish) Debt at June 2010 £34,247.13

Been AWOL and very off task for a few months but renewed motivation to get cracking with the debtbusting again. I made a little PAD yesterday and have informed the twin's school today that they will be moving onto packed lunches after half term. £7.40 for 2 days a week for them is beyond crazy, given how little they actually eat and it appears to be tinned spaghetti every day so should be a double saving as I won't have to use as much stain remover to try to get the lunch stains out of their white school shirts!
Need to reassess finances, plan in forward for 2012/13 in terms of childcare and work.
I need to have a look through mystery shopping and surveys and see where i am at with everything.Est. debt free day April 2016 (ish) Debt at June 2010 £34,247.13Debt at Dec 2011 £27,499.09 (19.7% paid off)Working together with DH on our debts (twindad07)Long haulers supporters DFW #2560 -
Right - the kids are in bed so going to try to do something useful.
We are going to try to set up a spending diary on google docs so that DH and I can both access is from home and work so no excuses not to be up to date all of the time.
Off to try to work out what i have earned already in surveys and what I can boost up further.Est. debt free day April 2016 (ish) Debt at June 2010 £34,247.13Debt at Dec 2011 £27,499.09 (19.7% paid off)Working together with DH on our debts (twindad07)Long haulers supporters DFW #2560
