  • Twinmum - how are you powering ahead with Toluna? I found I was doing tonnes of clicking for very little reward. I still haven't reached a withdrawal point yet!

Oops -haven't been on our diary for far too long and feel like we have lost a bit of our debt busting mojo!
A cup of soup was knocked over my laptop last week and the old me would have had a jazzy new laptop by now but instead I have waited to see if it has improved and when it has become clear the keyboard is dead I have bought a £1.23 USB keyboard to make do so I can function whilst I find the cheapest long term solution so apologies if I miss letters or spaces but the plug in keyboard is a little temperamental.
We are going to sitdown and have a blast through our finances tonight so hopefully we can get our debtbusting va va voom back.

Thought I would pop by and offer my support - It's hard to keep motivated sometimes - I often am fab for a month or 2 and then lose heart. Keep at it and you will get there! Looking forward to reading your updates!:)

  • We haven't actually had our big finances sort yet as we have both been a bit tired and useless lately.
My diet is going well and I have lost over 2 stone, which is great but I have had to buy lots of new clothes so not very money saving!
I feel like the house is getting me down as it is never even vaguely clean so I seem to spend the whole of my days off on Thurs and Fri blasting the house for it to just end up even worse by the next Wednesday. I think Pinky's sig is spot on but DH and I are pretty messy too and tend to dump stuff everywhere rather than ever put things away so we're not much better than the kids sometimes.
I have been plodding away with surveys and am saving up quite a few amazon vouchers, i have no idea what I am saving them for yet but possibly Christmas.
Right, off to get ready for the school run and then hopefully a productive day.

LOl about the sig - but sooo true isnt it. My house is fairly clean but am learning to accept it will never be perfect. I have 3 little ones and am constantly fightening against mess, washing, ironing, toys piled everywhere. Well done on the weight loss - I have found car boots sales are great for picking up clothes - I have had some lovely bits! x

  • i just love tidying on an evening when they are bed and then the novelty of coming downstairs to find it is still tidy in the morning - quite sad that that tickles me but hey. The twins love helping me clean so when they are around cleaning is fairly pointless as they help sweep by getting rid of the piles of swept up dust i have done and cleaning windows leaves more handprints than there were in the first place! The little man just loves the hoover so that is impossible to do with him around as he likes to hug it so I can't actually move the blooming thing.
    Phew - rant over!
Determined to do some sorting on the middle floor today if i can keep the little man amused and hopefully I can squeeze in some exercise whilst he has his nap too.
I hadn't thought about trying car boot sales. People keep saying how great it must be to be back in my pre-pregnancy clothes but I was still a little bigger than this before i got pregnant with the twins nearly 4 years ago so have very few stashed away clothes that fit. i have repopulated my tops with a trip to primark but might have to try car boots/charity shops/ebay for normal bits when I get a second.

  • Hooray - have just checked my bank and have been paid £29.50 for mystery shopping so have thrown that straight at the virgin card. I then got excited and made a PAD of £9.10, which i might regret later in the month but hey ho!
I also got another £5 amazon voucher from surveys yesterday so feeling quite on track despite not knowing where the tracks are!
I think we need to go back to monthly online grocery shopping as I just go crazy when I get inside a supermarket. We also have a ton of food in the house which we could do with eating rather than stockpiling
